Chapter 1: The Truth

Lucy's POV:

I was sitting at the bar waiting for Natsu to come back from his mission so we could go on our date- he's been gone for a little too long but maybe it's because Happy isn't with him. Oh! I should probably explain. Well, I've had feelings for Natsu ever since I joined the guild and that adorable, dense idiot realized his feelings for me 5 months ago and we've been dating since. Well... For the past 2 months we haven't been spending too much time together together but that must be because Lisanna came back 2 months ago- today's actually the anniversary of when she came back so we're having ANOTHER party for her, although, to be honest, the guild pretty much hasn't stopped partying, today's just a bigger one.

But I completely understand Natsu wanting to spend time with Lisanna- they were really close! I don't mind because Mira and some of the other guild members say how nice she is so I hope we can be friends... I haven't gotten much of a chance to talk to her since everyone who knew her keeps getting in the way but I guess that's just natural. I didn't know her, after all, and I'm sure everyone would miss such a sweet girl if she was presumed dead for years! Oh! I just remembered volunteering to help with her Anniversary Party so I could maybe get to know her.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard pretty much the whole guild (except Master- who was in his office, Laxus, Gray and Loke-who don't seem to like her or something but I'm not sure why, Happy-he told me he prefers me over Lisanna which I thought was very sweet (Happy's got more adorable since Lisanna returned), me, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Juvia, Wendy and Carla- who all didn't know her. We've all gotten closer recently (Well, not Master, since he's always in his office filling out papers from the Magic Council about damage reports)- which I'm happy about because we haven't, except Wendy, Happy and Carla, been very close) scream "LISANNA!!". Yay! She's back- she's been doing lots of solo missions but so has Natsu I thought to myself Maybe now I'll have a chance to get to know her!

I was about to get up and attempt to go over and talk to her when Mira suddenly slammed down my strawberry milkshake which I'd ordered a while ago. I looked at her in shock when I remembered she and most of the other guild members have been like this since Lisanna returned but I'm not sure why. "Th-thank you very much Mira! You're the best!" I told her after I got over my shock but all she muttered angrily and sarcastically was "Whatever. Enjoy!"

I looked down sadly before taking a sip and spitting it out immediately. It tasted horrible! I looked up to see Mira smirk at me before she announced to the guild "Look how ungrateful Lucy is, everyone! She spat out the wonderful milkshake Lisanna spent ages to make specially for her!" Lisanna?! Why would she make a milkshake.. for me?! I stared at Mira in compete shock until most of the guild screamed at me angrily and began to throw some of their most powerful magic at me, which I had to just take on. They continued to beat me up (now scratched, bruised and cut) as I occasionally coughed out blood from the sheer force of their never-ending attacks.. that is, until he burst through the guild doors. Natsu! My saviour!

He looked down at me in ..pity? Before asking the rest of the guild what the hell was going on and Mira answered him, smirking devilishly over at me (I was still on the floor where I'd been knocked so everyone could have a better shot at me), "Lucy ungratefully spat out the special strawberry milkshake Lisanna made for her! And after only taking a single sip too! Poor little Lisanna- she spent hours making that for Lucy, she wanted to be friends!"
