*****Sapphire's POV*****

"I'll love you forever Tiffany!"

Tiffany began to cry and wrapped her arms around Carson's neck. She and Carson had been dating for two years. Though their romance was a secret, their love for each other was not. Carson began to lean in for a kiss.

I turned off the television. Laughing at how impossible that would be if it happened to me. I cleaned up the house twice today. My life is so boring. Tomorrow is my first day high school in a new state. This is my third time moving. Me and my dad had been through everything together. My mom left me before I turned five.

**Flashback*

"Where are you going mommy?" I asked.

"I love you Sapphire. I have to go now."

Melanie, my mom, ran quickly away from me with Alex, my dad, running after her. I thought she was going to come back to me.

**Flashback Over*

Ever since that day I always blamed myself for my mother leaving. My dad was never the same. He stopped being happy. Though he put on a smile around me, I knew he was heartbroken. I never dated because I was afraid of being left again. I fell asleep thinking of how my life has changed.

As I entered my class early Monday morning the teacher called me to his desk.

"Miss Prescott, I hope you will not end up like my last new student," he said pointing to the shady guy in the corner, " Take your seat next to Mr. Graham so I can get my class started."

As I walked to the empty seat next to Graham I began to become uneasy. Whatever happened to Graham I do not want happening to me. After class everybody introduced themselves to me except Graham. I tried to stay back so I could talk to the teacher. I could tell Graham wanted to stay back like I did. He started walking towards me slowly.

"Hi. I'm Graham."

"I'm Sapphire. Nice to meet you!"

There was an awkward silence. I began to walk away when Graham asked me if I wanted to eat lunch with him and his friends. Feeling I had no choice I agreed. Lunchtime came before I knew it. I began to head towards the cafeteria. Graham gave me directions then he went there. I had stayed back to get my lunch from my locker when a boy ran into me. He tried flirting with me. I have to admit, it was kinda cute. After a quick conversation and number exchange, I left to meet up with Graham. I think they guy said his name was Zachary.

*****Graham's POV*****

I met with Sapphire at the table Zachary and I sat in last year. Our school, Lemoine Academy, is Pre-K through twelfth grade if you were wondering. I cant wait for Zachary to meet Sapphire. Zachary was always trying to impress girls, but they always pushed him away. I'm hoping that he'll see that not all girls are like that.

Zachary came running towards me almost knocking me down to the ground. I was happy to see him, but not "that" happy. I'm starting to like Sapphire. She has beautiful chesnut colored hair, fair skin, a couple of freckles, and a wonderful personality. I was thinking so much to myself that I didn't notice Sapphire and Zachary were conversing. I was a little jealous of how well they got along so quickly, but it's okay to be jealous.....right?

Finally trying to join the conversation, I listened to what the topic was when Zachary asked Sapphire out........ON A DATE!!!!! I couldn't believe this. I ran out of the cafeteria to my favorite spot to think. It was out in the open, but no one really ever came on this side of the school. If they ever did, which was extremely rare, they wouln't notice me.

I kept asking myself 'why him and not me?' Also, at least go out with Austin. He's better than Zachary. I could see through the window that Zachary and Sapphire were still talking. They probably didn't even notice I ran off. I could see Blain, Lance, Cameron, and Max all look at Sapphire with admiration. On the other hand Christi, Kelly, Sarah, and Alexa look at Sapphire with disgust and hate.

If you coul punch a girl as much as you wanted them I bet all of them would be dead. I don't get girls and all of their drama. I don't understand the reason of it. After multiple thought through my mind, I decided to go back to the cafeteria and confront them. I started heading over.

*****Zachary's POV*****

I scooted closer to Sapphire. She scooted away. I must be making her uneasy. I don't really care. You must be thinking 'he is just another player,' but I'm not. All I know is that I got myself a girl. She's pretty too.

"Thanks!" Sapphire said.

OMGoodness! I was thinking out loud. Oops. She started to get up when I pulled her close to me. She didn't move from my hold. I noticed Graham started walking back towards us when he suddenly ran away again. I excused myself from the table. I hated to leave Sapphire alone, but I had to go talk to Graham.

I ran all the way to the place on the field. I knew excactly where Graham was. When I got there, gasping for air, I began to speak when he interrupted me.

"What are you doing here?'' He said quite annoyed.

"I came to talk to you bro." Trying to sound comforting.

"You knew I liked her!!!" He shouted in rage.

I was completely taken aback by his sudden outburst. Quickly, hiding my astonishment, I responded truthfully.

"WHAT! This was the first time I saw you today!" I yelled.

"But I like HER! Don't you think you're rushing into this?" He said. He almost looked like a 4 year old complaining that their friend didn't their toys.

"No. I like her and I'm pretty sure she likes me back. DEAL WITH IT!" I shouted back feeling a enraged. I ran back to the cafeteria. When I got back I tried to have a converation with Sapphire, but I kept thinking that this was the first time we ( Graham and I ) ever fought. I asked Sapphire if she really liked me.

"Of course I do. why would I agree to date you if I didn't?"

I almost immediately felt relieved. I liked her reasoning. I sat next to her continuing my lunch. Lunch ended sooner than I expected. I was sad to leave Sapphire. She was a nice girl. Different than the rest of the girls I've met. I headed towards my 5th period with Sapphire. She was in the same class with me for the rest of the day. I wonder if she hung out with Graham the first half before lunch. I began to become jealous when I was reminded that she was "my" girlfriend. Notice the emphasis on my.
