Chapter 1- Skeleton Reaper Encounter

The man screamed out in agony as the girl he just went out to dinner with tore at his flesh. About an hour ago her and this man went to dinner, but with her being what she is she didn't eat anything at the restaurant, just talked. He decided to walk the girl home, just to be safe with all the ghoul-related murders but little did he know that he set up his death. When she leaned in onto him at first, it looked almost as though a kiss. But the girl then bit down on his shoulder, tearing off skin and muscle. He screamed once again but there was no help coming for him, they were in a very low populated area dark at night. The she-ghoul had her kagune out and tore open the man's chest, exposing his guts and organs. She smiled then laughed at the sight and smell of the blood. She began her feast, eating his flesh, skin, organs, and every so often licked her lips clean of the crimson liquid. "Why pay $20 on a steak of a cow when you could have the astonishing meat of a human for free, even though it is indeed a bit hard to get" She laughed again ludicrously. The girl looked at the man's face, in shock and agony but dead. "Aw, he's dead...What fun is that now?" She leered, "But that means I can eat in peace without his constant screaming" She consumed almost all of him, leaving half a carcass but most of the meat and inner organs were gone. The girl stood up, blood stained her jacket, shirt, jeans, face, and hair. "Better hurry before I become dead too" She cackled and hurried her way back home.

The TV's light illuminated the dark room. Cody sighed and stretched his arms over his head, yawning. He looked at the TV, the news on talking about a ghoul attack. "Hmf, wonder if I know this person, wait-ghoul" He muttered sarcastically and plopped down onto his bed. "The victim has been identified as Daniel Johnson, age 39. He was found around 8 and 9, last seen with a female that is most likely a ghoul but no evidence has been found of that" A news reporter said, reporting the crime on TV. Cody looked away from the screen then got up walking to the bathroom to look at himself in the mirror. His eyes then changed to a black, pupils a blood red color. "I need to eat something sooner or later..." Cody muttered while staring at his reflection, mainly his eyes. "My my, I sure look like a monster" He said mockingly and laughed. Cody then put on his light grey hoodie, about to head out before grabbing his mask. "Time for fun, whoops. Meant time to kill" He said simply and smiled deviously.

Claire stepped out of the shower, wrapping herself with a towel. She was cleaning herself of the blood from her 'dinner'. She put on a slightly big t-shirt and grey shorts. Her clothes from before were still in the laundry, being cleaned of blood too. "Ugh, I don't think he was satisfying enough for me" Claire smirked, speaking somewhat sarcastic then giggled. Her phone then began to buzz so she picked it up seeing who it was. It was her best friend, Rosalina, her human friend. "Hello?" Claire spoke into the phone after answering the call. "Hey Claire! How was the date, awesome? Liam was the perfect guy for you wasn't he?" Rosalina said fast and excited for she set them up to the date. Claire sighed with a slight laugh before responding. "Sorry, he was more attracted to my body than me. Plus he lied about many things. Rosa, he was simply a pervert" She laughed a little nervous but hid it. Claire would hate herself if Rosalina found out she was a ghoul, but thank god she doesn't watch the news at all. "Aw, that's too bad. I thought he could of been a good match but I guess it's true that there's no such thing as a perfect boy!" Rosa laughed over the phone. "Well, I gotta go Rosa. I'll see you tomorrow" Claire sighed, smiling while thinking of her friend. "Ah, alrighty then! Oh, wait. Hold on, I think there's a guy following me..." Her friend said worriedly and Claire's eyes widened in fear. "You aren't home? Never mind that, where are you?!" She rapidly spoke to Rosa, worried big time. "No, I was at a cafe with friends and now I'm heading home by myself" Rosa sounded scared and her breathing seemed to go faster. "What road are you on? I'm coming to you now" Claire said as she threw on a jacket and shoes then rushed out the door as Rosa told her where she was. Claire ran to Cherry Oak lane then stopped in her tracks from hearing a young man's voice on the phone. "Sorry, leave a message" The unknown guy laughed then hung up. Her eyes widened even more and she bolted off again heading to Rosa. "Rosalina!" Claire yelled out upon seeing her friend unconscious on the ground with a ghoul about to stab her with his kagune. She lost it and her eyes changed to solid black with red pupils, kakugan. The guy was frozen in place seeing Claire. His kagune looked like bones but with a sharp claw-like point. She refused to take hers out for she wasn't planning on killing someone with Rosa around. "I thought I said leave a message" The boy laughed, he had a mask on so half his face was hidden except eye which were a chestnut grey but only for a second before turning back to the typical ghoul black. "Get the hell away from her, she's not food" Claire was looking down at first then glared at him. A small fave of fear came across her face upon getting a full look at the guy. The news and CCG classify this certain ghoul as SS-Rated, his name is Skeleton Reaper. "Why would a ghoul care for a human when they are our enemies and simply food?" The Skeleton Reaper cackled then moved his two bony kagunes away from Rosa. "I'm not fond on fighting girls, but I haven't eaten in a while so you better give me a good reason to find another person" He spoke dead serious then cracked his knuckles, showing off in some way. Claire shuddered at the sound, she was used to cracking bones of her victims but hearing it now sounded horrific, especially since he's doing it to himself. "I won't let you eat Rosa, no matter the consequence" She told the Skeleton Reaper in defiance, eyes kakugan. The guy laughed hysterically then glared at her with a murderous look in his own kakugan eyes. No longer than three minutes after she spoke did he make his move on her. He used his two bone-like kagunes trying to pin her down but she dodged them just barely. "Oh come on, put up a better fight than that!" Skeleton said almost demonically while laughing. "Tsk" Claire muttered through clenched teeth and dodged his attacks, getting better after learning some of the guy's fighting techniques. So far neither of them had a scratch, but not for long. Claire was caught off guard when she saw Rosa stir and that's when Reaper took his chance. He grabbed her shoulders and threw her down onto his knee, making slight cracking noises of her ribs. "Shit..." She stuttered while clenching her waist on the ground. "You're weak for letting your guard down so easily. But I am surprised at how long you lasted without your kagune" He said lowly, eyes burning kakugan. The boy's eyes then changed to the chestnut grey as he put a hand up to his face, his mask had a stitched mouth with other stitches around it. "You owe me a life, Claire was it?" The boy sighed as his whole face was revealed. Claire stared at him in astonishment. "Why the hell are you showing me your face and how the hell do you know my name?!" She was so confused, how can an SS-Rated ghoul know her? And why does he look so familiar? "This makes no fucken sense..." She muttered under her breath awaiting an answer. "Simple, you'll find out tomorrow" He laughed and put his mask back on as he began to walk away leaving Claire, still on the ground, confused. She then immediately remembered Rosa and went over to her friend's side seeing her condition. "Rosalina, are you alright?" Claire saw her move and blink, looking confused and scared. "You're fine now, let's get you home" She smiled upon seeing Rosa nod and get up. They then walked to Claire's house together.

Author's Note~ I swear the ending of chapter 1 wasn't suppose to be like the ending of Tokyo Ghoul Root A, I only noticed it right after typing it on here (I wrote it down on paper before). xD Welp, Thanks for reading and whenever I'm not lazy I'll get chapter 2 out!
