"Now class as you know, Neptune wasn't always warm and mellow. It was a raging cold place with very few life" Mrs. Drik said, fascinated. I wrote my name on the worksheet she gave us: Anthea Mint Quik. Then I wrote the date: 12/18/2029. Driss rose her hand and waved it whimpering. Mrs. Drik rolled her eyes and called on her.
"Anthea is doodling on her worksheet!"
"Driss, please don't interrupt class for this!"
"But she's not listening to you"
"Alright so? If she chooses not to listen that's her problem"
That was the end of discussion. I lifted my pencil from one of my doodles and started taking notes. From the corner of my eyes I saw Driss narrowing her eyes at me. "This isn't over" she mouthed. I stuck my tongue and went back to work. Driss has always been jelous of how perfect I am, so she tries to get me into trouble. "......Anthea? When did the polar caps melt?" Asked Mrs.Drik. I automatically said " the polar ice caps officially melted on September 2nd 2020". I could hear people behind me groan in annoyance. I shrugged. I don't care if their suffering as long as I'm not. "Good job, Anthea, you are paying attention unlike anyone else here" this made people groan even louder. I buried my head into my hoodie. I'm so done with school. Offically. Kinda. Maybe.
