Chapter 2

Athens POV

"Athena!" Dad yells for me. I groan.

"Athena get up!" He says. "Don't make me get uncle tony or Gibbs!" He warns.

"You wouldn't dare!" I say. I get up and jump on him.

"That's rude." I say. He laughs.

"Get dressed...we have a fun day planned ahead of us." He says. I smile.

I put on my jeans and a black t-shirt. I put on my converse and go into the bathroom and brush my teeth. I leave the door open so dad walks in.

"Scoot over." He tells me. I take a step over and he grabs his toothbrush. I finish brushing my teeth and wash off my toothbrush. I grab my brush and brush my hair. I am satisfied.

"Move your butt." I say. Dad steps out of the way and I walk past him. I go down stairs and am greeted by Jethro.

"Hey boy," I say. I rub his ears and he wags his tail.  I walk over to his food dish and pour a couple scoops in.

"Ready to go?" Dad asks. I smile.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I say he smiles. He grabs his gun off of the stand next to the door.

We get in to the car. Dad is driving.

"Gibbs wants to see you... He has some surprise for you." Dad says. I look at him and raise an eye brow.

"Alright." I say. I turn on the radio and sing along to the song that is playing.

"Athena." Dad says. I look at him.

"Yeah dad?" I ask.

"I just wanted to let you know how happy I am...I am so grateful I found you the day I did. I remember the first day you called me dad....it was an accident at first but when I went to school to pick you up, people asked who I was and you told them 'that's my dad. I love you sweetheart." He says.

"I love you too dad." I say. He smiles.

"So what we are going to do is go sign the documents and get another birth certificate. Your parents will be on there and I will too." He says. I smile. Tears form in my eyes.

"Thank you." I say hugging him. I let go. He keeps driving. We pull into the mall parking lot and he parks. I unbuckle and get out.

I wait for Dad to walk up next to me. We walk inside together.

"Where to?" dad asks. I smile. "Arcade." He says. I smile and try to look as cute as possible.

"You know me so well." I say.

"I am your father." He says. I smile and hug him.

"That's right and I am the very cool Uncle with your very cool Aunt." I hear behind me. I turn and see uncle Tony and aunt Ellie.

"Aunt Ellie! Uncle Tony!" I say. I hug both of them. "What are you guys doing here?" I ask.

"Came to spend the day together...Me, Ellie, your dad, Abby and some kid named Shaun." Uncle Tony says. I nod.
