Brown, Black, Melanin.
So complex but yet so underrated
Much beauty that lies within
But yet so mistreated
My skin does not make me
Nor is it a shame
But it is apart of me
There are those who shun it but use my culture for fame
Something I used to despise because of the words of others
But this no more
For thou should not be judged because of their skin colors
For I am much more then thy evaluation that is so poor
If thou shalt judge me, then judge on thy abilities
Because the future is full of possibilities.
