One Call (Manifesto Poem)

Before you say I have bad grammar, this is in the style of e e cummings - a poet who didn't use punctuation.

it didnt help

the way you treated me

i could have died

you wouldnt care

not at all

no care in the world

for if i lay there for the world to see

youd be proud

you wouldnt care what others thought

cause if you thought it was good its good

valuable

life experience

but what you don't realise is that i have power

an unwielded power

something unmistakeable

something unbreakable

something called courage

i fight, i die, who cares?

i will

the police will

i want the whole world to know

you screwed me up

always you

only you

and soon i ll be valued for who i am

not who i was

i ll be known as a saviour

someone who saved others

from my fate

it isnt the only fate out there

but its the worst

because noone can hear

no one can hear the screams

as you make love to me

i dont love you though

and then you're king of the world

only you arent

but you do it again

but this time you dont notice

you dont notice the glint in my eye

when you thought i was broken

you dont notice the backbone

which developed when i actually saw

you dont notice the camera

almost at my side

and that is you failed

this is how you are now

and i am who i am

not trapped under your petty rules

not trapped by you

you arent my cage

and im free

free as a bird

and you cant catch me

ever
