"I know you don't want to let me go, but..."

I walk up the stairs, but instead of being drained, I am re-energised. After realising Zeke and Zack were invisible to Matty, I began to calm down about being discovered with two men coming from a locked room with me probably not looking the best. I mean, at least he won't kill me. Still, I wasn't invisible, and I had to get out; or rather, sneak out. Thankful for my graceful trainers, I pranced down the corridor and landed just behind the door. Looking round, I saw Matty was asleep, head on the armrest cuddling the remote like a baby snoring away. Relief flooding through me that Matty was a heavy sleeper I opened the front door quietly and shut it so quietly to avoid it making a noise. I look at Zeke, who's looking around expectantly.

"I called us a ride of something," he explains, and I wonder if something is how we would say someone. How different could they and us really be – apart from appearances, obviously. "He should be here any minute... ah." He finishes, and then a motor roars up the drive, and I glance wearily at Matty, wondering if he could hear. But then again, I bulldozer could knock the house down and he'd still sleep. The biker rolls up, and my heart melts, he looked perfect and the biker denim suited him perfectly. Just take off the helmet. Take it off ...

He took it off and I cringe. No way. It couldn't be him.

"Need a ride?" Drake asks smugly, and I inwardly both blush, vomit and punch him simultaneously. Seriously, there is no other thing that could take us?

Zack shoots a warning look at Drake, who just raises his eyebrows mockingly. "You can trust him. He will take you to where you will need to be, we have to go and plan something, my leader." He says, and then does something I can only describe as "shimmer" out. And by that, I mean the air around him is absorbed into his body and then the air shimmered into what he and just evaporated or disappeared into or whatever. I look at the space where he used to stand in amazement, not quite believing it had happened. Drake let out a low, intoxicating laugh. "We shall not keep you waiting long, leader. Have a safe trip." Zeke said, before repeting the whole movement again leaving me speechless.

Drake coughs sarcastically, and all the suppressed anger resurfaces. "What are you, Drake?" I demand, arms folded stubbornly.

Drake grins, making me feel weak. "Aww, don't worry babe. Old Zeke wants to tell you. I'm just the ride at the moment. Don't go all stubborn now." He jokes, and I push his chest with all my force. And, even though my anger, I can feel the hard sculpted abs underneath the soft material. But despite my best efforts (and I am not a weak girl) I barely affected him, and he didn't even flinch. "Woah there, Kit-Kat. What's all up in that little head of yours?" he asks, arm up innocently. I get out a growl in frustration.

"YOU!" I shout, and then check behind me, conscious of Matty's presence on the other side of the glass. "Your disappearing act earlier!" I hiss, anger lacing my eyes and flushing my cheeks.

A flicker of worry come's in his eyes, quickly replaced by smugness. He smiles secretly," I could of told you, but where's the fun in that? Anyway, come on. People to save, places to go. Coming?" he asks, closing the matter and asking like I had an option. He tosses me his helmet, sits on the bike and laughs loudly, revving. I look back at the house, and sigh. I thought we moved here to get away from trouble- yet here I am about to get on the back of a stranger bycicly to go to who knows where? Just my luck. I groan and clip the helmet on, slip on the seat and wrap my cold arms around his chest and cling tight.

He pulls off loudly and I grip tightly. "So, where are we going?" I ask, as we pull out of the drive and onto the narrow winding roads.

"We are off to Ezekiel's Head Quarters. It has the book and – how should I put it- loads of 'Zekey's'. Now, hold tight and shut your eyes." He says, and I instantly begin to argue, and about 1,000,000 flies fly into my opened mouth. I spit frantically and Drake laughs so much the bike has a hard time remaining straight. "Don't even try to pin that on me, missy. I tried to warn you."

I fell asleep with my arms wrapped around Drake and my head snuggled into the centre of his back. I rise to consciousness slowly, and then, when realizing who I'm treating like a teddy bear, jump backwards, causing my head to spin. Instinctively I go to touch it with my fingertips, and then they fly back around Drake's stomach realizing I'm on a motorbike, and I would probably fall thanks to the most un-safest driver I've met. "Hey, losen up a bit! I know you don't want to let me know, but ..." he wheeses, and I losen my grip dramatically, both insulted and embarrassed. He let out an exaggerated sigh. "Damn, don't go all moody now. We're here, look – three 'o clock." He says nodding in the direction, and I turn, and almost stop breathing in surprise!I fell asleep with my arms wrapped around Drake and my head snuggled into the centre of his back. There was a grand country estate that was at least a mile long. It was submerged in acres of land as far as eye could see, lush green fields with vibrant and colourful flowers blooming in abundance in each available space, leaving a picturesque landscape with amazing scents. I smile, absorbing the sights and the smells as we revved up the drive and parked sloppily. We get off, him gracefully and elegance, myself with the grace of a one eyed, three legged elephant riding a pushbike backwards. I stumble off and catch myself just in time to see a boy smiling up at us respectfully.

"Leader, Dinrond, welcome. I'm Zahi, and I have been given the honour to accompany you to the Room. Please, if you will." He says, and holds open a door, indicating for us to go through. We do, Drake then me, followed by Zahi. We arrive at some more doors, and Drake holds open the door with so much manly politeness I rush through to avoid him seeing me blush, but by the chuckle I hear, I am not sure how well I discussed it. We stand in a cold stone room, and Zahi struts in front and we follow him patiently. There are plenty of Ezekeial's milling about, in many forms, pointing and whispering at myself and Drake, making me uncomfortable.

We finally arrive in a room, and two well-built Ezekeial's guard the other end, peering down on us in an intimidating and authorities manor. Zahi nods, telling us to sit on a lonely wooden bench to the left of the room and then leaves. We silently walk there without protest.

Bored, I lean into Drake. "What are Ezekeial's?" I ask softly

"Protectors of stuff don't mess with them. Like, the book." He whispers back, low and casual.

"The book?" I ask, confused.

"The book of Sustenance. They make sure, I don't know, the Behemoth don't get it. Now shh. You'll see it in a minute, anyway." He concludes, and then proceeds to ignore me.

A few minutes later, Zeke and Zach come in, and greet us hurriedly. "Let's hurry leader, as this is important. You need to red this." I walk into the room, nodding but not understanding wat he meant, but I feel cold and numb. I walk on up, and the rest wait anxiously in the doorway. Scared, I look at Drake, who nods encourgougly. I look at the Book, and its navy, with a strange symbol. I take a great breath, and gathering all my courage, open it.
