Our first encounter was supposed to be our last, but it turns out things didn't work out that way. The cops showed up at one of the neighbor's houses, so I had to get the hell out of dodge before I could be seen by anyone. Living the life of an unknown, but legendary, killer meant keeping up appearances and that means staying in the shadows unseen.
That's at least the lie I was telling myself.
If it wasn't for her then I wouldn't have to run. She would've been dead and I wouldn't be in this position, so it's all her fault really. If she kept her hands to herself and her pretty little mouth shut, then I wouldn't have to hunt her down AGAIN.
That bitch is going to die tonight and no one can stop me this time.
I walk across the street and stand in front of the house I knew she was staying in. It wasn't hard to find her at all. The cops basically lead me right to her with their loud ass sirens blaring throughout the streets as they escorted her family only a block away from her house. It was a terrible decision on their part. Who takes a victim of a brutal attack from an insane killer, aka me, to a nearby location only just down the block? They should've known I'd still be in the area, ready to follow them and finish the job I had started, but I suppose I gave them far too much credit because here we are. Not even a ten minute walk away from the scene of the crime and here I am to finish her off, once and for all.
Scanning around for the best entry point, I turn my attention up at the windows of the house to notice a figure standing in one of the second-floor windows. With the moon shining so damn bright tonight, I can easily see the blood-red hair of none other than my target herself standing right out in the open. I take a few steps forward to get a better look at her and now from this distance, I can tell she hasn't noticed me yet, so I decided to watch her for a while.
She seems to be lost inside her own thoughts, not paying much mind to anything around her. I watch as she shakes her head as if to deny the thoughts in her own mind. She looked troubled and restless, which she was after the rough night she was having.
Oops, my bad.
For some reason I found myself moving forward, wanting to get a better look at her, to be closer to her. It felt like there was this invisible thread pulling me toward her, a silent whisper beckoning me to reach out and touch her soft skin, to caress her cheek as she stood there unsure of herself. I wondered how her lips would feel against mi- wait, what the hell was I thinking? Caress her skin? Fuck no. I should be focusing on how I'm going to get inside the house unnoticed. There were way too many people in the house this time to act as recklessly as I had in the past. Focus Jeff.
Before I had time to plan my grand entrance, her attention quickly shifts over to me, suddenly noticing my presence. I smirk to myself as I see the fear settle in throughout her body, but just as I'm about to move in closer she dashes out of sight.
Fuck. Now how am I going to find her if she's hiding? I guess I got time for a game of hide-n-seek.
I look around to see if anyone has spotted me. I spot two cop cars parked in the driveway and groan in annoyance. Why is the damn police always ruining all the fun? It will be a challenge with seven people roaming around and two of them are armed officers. I may be skilled with a knife, but against two guns in such a crowded place? I'm as good as dead. If I don't find her quickly before she runs for help, I'm fucked.
I consider for a moment if I should continue on with my plan or not. On one hand, it would be an interesting challenge for me, it's been a while since I killed so much in one night, but on the other, there is the slim possibility of this ending badly for me and I had no backup. I was already on thin ice with the others as it is. There is no way they'd come to back me up and even if they did it would severely damage my reputation. Jeff the Killer doesn't need backup. I'm a one-man team with the ability to cut down men like I was slicing through the air. So, even though it pained me, I decided to wait and come back in the morning when not as many people will be around. Hopefully, by then the two dickhead cops will get lost, too. It'll be more fun when she's off guard and awake. I like playing with my prey after all.
