And here's how it went:
My school band went to a contest a few days ago. When we were there, I saw this REALLY HOT GIRL. She was very hot. I told my friend Leslie I called dibs on her (obviously) and then I pointed her out to my friend, Jason. He was like "Do you want me to get her name?" And I nodded.
He comes back and says "Her name is Alex." I walk over to her to introduce myself.
We make small talk. She was like "Got Kik?"
And I said "No, my parents took it away because I'm not straight."
She smiled and said "I'm not straight either!"
She gave me her number and then she had to go. My band then went into the auditorium to play. She was texting me, but I had to wait to get on the bus because the judges would take points off for having phones out.
I got on the bus to go home. I looked at the texts she texted me.
It pretty much consisted of:
Hey babe
How did the playing go?
What were the rankings?
I smiled and replied
We got all ones ;)
She texted
Hey what's that guys number? My friend wants it lol
I felt skeptical... I mean who wouldn't?
She texted
He's homo... Your friend is too, right?
I laughed and gave her the number.
A few minutes later, Jason got up from his seat and sat next to me.
"Hey Laney, Alex is texting me selfies and stuff. Just thought you should know."
"Well she said she wanted them for her gay friend. She didn't say she would text you herself."
His phone buzzed and we look down. She texted him this:
Hey I ask everyone this, but would you date me? Just asking...
My heart fell out of my chest.
Jason asked "Did she ask you that?"
Sadly, she did not.
He texted her:
Have you asked Laney that?
She replied
Yes
Man, I felt like shit. Literal shit.
"Let's text her this at the same time." He points to his keyboard which read
Liiiiieeeeessss
So we did, and she replied to me
I really was gonna ask
Then I quit texting her. I didn't really know how else to handle it, you know?
She played me for a GAY GUY!
