Chapter 8

So thank you Fairylover1501 for choosing the child gender and appearance, also thank you for helping me come up with a name I would have never thought of Hanaku if you didn't say Sakura so enjoy
Also I just want to clarify that it was an exceed stealing Natsu's scarf for a baby cold in the forest, so there is both a baby exceed and a baby human

Lucy's POV

"Wo hold on I'm not going to hurt you young exceed or that infant behind you, I just can't help but notice that this baby is hungry even you look hungry let me take care of you guys I'll take you back to my house."

"Foo~?" The purple exceed asks in an adorable way that made me want to squeeze it in a hug.

"Yes food, will you let me take you back?" I say trying to earn its trust. It nods to signal yes, so I first pick up the baby in Natsu's scarf, then I noticed it didn't have clothes so that young exceed must have taken the scarf to give this child warmth. I also noticed that this infant is a baby girl, she looks up at me and smiles, she must think I'm her mother. After that I pick up the exceed to which I saw the cat was significantly smaller than Happy, Carla, or Lily, so it must only be a child.

I walked them back to my house, but of corse this took awhile because I ran after the exceed pretty far from my apartment. When I walked through the door Romeo was staring at what was in my hands.

Romeo's POV

Where is Lucy

"I'm home" LUCY! I ran out of the kitchen so find lucy holding a small exceed that was a light purple, and a baby wrapped in Natsu's scarf?

"Who are they"I asked

"They'll be living with us from now on I found this exceed steeling Natsu's scarf for this young baby girl, so I chased it down to a flower bed in the middle of the Forrest where I saw this infant girl ( I just wanted to add that Lucy followed the exceed to a flower bed where the baby was. Cause why not) so I brought them home"

"I see but what are there names also do you even have cloths for the girl?" I asked

"Oh you bring up a good point... I HAVE GOOD IDEA. Let's go to your dad's house NOW!!" Lucy made me jump three feet in the air she scared the livening daylights out of me.

(At Macao's house)

Lucy's POV

Knowing Macao he probably kept Romeo's baby clothes.

"I found them!!!" I heard Romeo yell from down the hall. I looked and they were mostly blues, greens, and reds. But then I saw five purple ones, three were dark purple, two were light purple. So we took the purples and some of the blues. Also the crib that I found, and a few toys.

We brought all of it back and placed the baby girl that I dressed in a light purple onesie, and the exceed that now had my blue bow from when I first joined Fairy Tail on its own tail, in the crib and tucked them in, then I quickly ran out to go buy some formula for the infant and, maybe fish for the cat? Also some apple sauce for the little girl. When I got back the two young ones were crying because they were hungry,

"Here you go little one"I gave the baby the formula milk.

"And there you go" I tried to give the exceed the fish but it didn't seem to want it

"But I don't have anything els, oh wait!" I grabbed the apple sauce from the bag and got a baby spoon. She took it and it seems to be enjoying it.

"Lucy I don't think we can keep calling them baby girl, and exceed. So what do you want to name them" once again he brought up a good point.

"Well I can't name the exceed because I don't know its gender, but for the girl" I paused and I held my chin with my finger. Then I clapped my hand together because of an idea

"We'll name her Hanaku because Hana as in flower"

"Well I guess that does make seance" Romeo commented

"And you can be her big brother Romeo" I said while smiling, I look at Hanaku or Hana for short and the purple exceed, Hana was asleep, well the exceed can speak to some extent so I'll ask it some questions. I brought the purple exceed out of the crib and over to the table and set it down. Romeo following.

"So um exceed are you a girl, or are you a boy"

"Ima gurw~" it answered

"A girl huh, do you have I name" I looked at Romeo a bit shocked that he under stood what she said,

"Viowa~" it answered wait what did she say I turn to Romeo looking for answers, he giggles a bit then turns to the kitten.

"Wow Viola that's a cool name"

I walked away when they started a conversation that I could barely understand, I checked on Hanaku then worked on my novel for Levy when she returns.

(1 hour later)

I went out to as what the were babbling about. I saw Romeo tucking in Viola, playing his role as the big brother

" what were you guys talking about" I ask plain and simple

"Well her whole story and how she found Hana" he said

"Oh please do tell" I was curios.

"Well when Viola hatched she already had the power to fly for long periods of time, and she was born right next to a wooden basket and inside she found Hana crying for food she knew this right away and picked up the basket that held Hana and sniffed out a farm, they both lived off of cows milk for awhile, one day they flew into town next to a music shop Hana pointed to an instrument that read Viola thus how she got her name on there way back to the farm the basket broke and Viola couldn't carry Hana without it so she went to the town close by and looked for something to keep Hana warm and saw you walking with Natsu's scarf and followed you but couldn't get the scarf until today."

"I see so that means we need to take care oh them so that makes you their brother" I smiled, he seemed a bit taken back but then smiled and said

"Well they need a mom so good luck" he started to laugh

"Wait WHAT, why can't I just be their big sis or something!!"

"Because you know more than anyone how much a child needs a mothers love" he was right when my mom died I felt something missing and that I could never replace it,and I still can't.

Night had fallen I best get som sleep for now. tomorrow I'll clean the guild hall and fairy hills with Romeo, train for an hour, and then take a mission to prepare for all the rent I will need to pay, and finally start my training with Loke and the others, and for that I'll need to pull an all nighter so I best get my sleep and prepare.
