I woke up in the infirmary, I stood up slowly. Walking out of the infirmary I look around at my guild mates and spotted Mira, Levy, and Wendy. I hurry my way over to them for an explanation.
"Hey guys." I greet them. right now I'm trying my hardest not to start blurting out questions like a crazy person.
"Good morning Lucy, do you want anything to eat?" Mira smiled at me sweetly.
"Um sure, but first I would like some answers."
Levy nods and starts to explain."well you see lu-chan, every seven years dragons, and dragon slayers go into a insane state hunting down there mates. The warning signs for this is that the dragon or slayer will start leaving his sent around their mate or become more clingy. The mating season will last for one week, everyday they get stronger in order to mark their mate. If the mate happens to be marked then the mate will never be able to fall in love will anyone else, even if the dragon were to die. And if the mate isn't marked by the end of the week then there is a 50/50 chance that the two will start to fall apart."
"Ok so then what is so bad about being marked?"
"Well multiple things actually, first there is a small chance that the mate won't be able to handle the marking and will die. And second there is two parts to the marking process, the first part is the one that is dangerous for the mate and the second part is that the two MUST do that by the end of the week or the two will both die."
"Oh" my face got a whole lot more red. I looked down at Wendy "well then what about Wendy?"
"Oh Lucy-San I'm too young to be affected." She said. Then the thought hit me "when does it start!" "Tomorrow." She slightly laughed
"Oh no, we need to get you two and lisanna somewhere safe as soon as possible!" I said pointing at Mira and Levy. But they just looked at me dumbfounded. "What?" I ask
"Lucy you are the other mate!" They both yell at me. "W-what?"
"Before we left natsu gave you his scarf so that you would keep his sent close to you warding off any other dragon slayers. And if any dragon slayer were to take a good whiff of your apartment it would smell like Natsu." Wendy explained, Mira and Levy nodding in agreement. My face became even more red. Erza came over and started to say "ok so the dragon slayers are on their way to Hargeon. Hopefully that will be far enough away the master is with them in order to keep them in check. You three girls will be staying here in the guild hall until this all settles over. Gray, Juvia, Cana, Romeo, Ryuu, and I will be keeping watch over you guys just to be safe. Wendy why don't you stay here and help guard them too."
"Ya I'd love to help Erza-San"
As night began to fall the dragon slayers started to become more restless. Then when 12:00 am hit is when it happened
