Wyatt was sad for them. He couldn't stand Avi crying over Mitch anymore, so he had a plan.

Wyatt knew that Mitch would always go to the park with Travis at Saturdays because he wanted to clear his mind. How did Wyatt knew that?
Well because he, one day, went to the park to take some fresh air when he saw Mitch sitting one of the benches, crying with someone beside him comforting him. Wyatt really wanted to confront the stranger but he didn't want to miss his chance to get his parents back together.
His plan was to lure Avi to the park today since tomorrow is Saturday. When they get to the park, Wyatt will find his mom, and lure him to his dad and then say they're apologies 'cause he knows that they still love each other, then BAM. They're together again.
He really loves his parents, so that's why he wanted to bring them back together if it's the last thing he does.
