The Lily

Day 1

Hii, the first 3 chapters are pretty boring and suck, but PLEASE continue reading I promise it'll get better. It's my first story so please don't hesitate to send me a message to recommend stuff to me. If you want me to read your story, let me know!

Today is my first day as a salesman in Brandy Melville.
The minute I turned sixteen, my whole family yelled at me to get a job. My girlfriend Marina at the time told me to get a job at Brandy Melville, so she could brag about it.
I went for a job interview, got the job and Marina broke up with me.

And now I am waiting for the Brandy Melville supervisor to come and give me a tour and make me sign papers or whatever it is they do.
I'm must look so awkward, the only boy in a girls shop. I'm starting to wonder why I didn't take a job at Blue Garage, it would have made more sense.

Finally, a girl a bit older than me comes over to me.

"Um, are you Chris?" She asks.
I nod.
"I'm Kati. Um, I'm guessing you're looking for Diane?"
And I'm guessing Diane is BM's director.
So I nod again.
"I think she's, um, upstairs? Like go up that way? And open the door to your left, the code is 8-6-9-1?" Kati says.

Her tone is so confusing, you would think she's asking you a question each time she speaks. And the "um"s make me want to kill myself.
But she's the only one who came to talk to me so I'm going to be nice with her.

I go up the stairs that Kati pointed to me and then I kick in the four numbers that Kati gave me.
Several girls, or women, I don't know what to call them, are laughing inside and folding humongous piles of clothes and putting  them on hangers.
They all turn to look at me and stop talking, glancing at each other and giving each other side smiles.
I blush a bit, because I don't really like having all the attention to myself.

"I'm looking for Diane? I'm Chris." I say.
The tallest of the four girls staring at me says, "Oh, finally, Chris, we were waiting for you."
They all laugh and say their names: Diane, Kylie, Georgina and Amanda.
Them Diane asks me to follow her and brings me to a desk a bit farther in the room and asks me to sign my 500 day contract and the rules of the shop.

"You will have three weeks of vacation and two days off, Monday and Sunday." Diane tells me while Kylie, Georgina, who asked me to call her Gigi, and Amanda fold clothes and whisper and giggle.

I look through the rules and some of them are quite funny:
8. No BM saleswoman or salesman shall have any kind of relationship with our enemies, from Subdued.
5. No one shall have sexual intercourse with a client, give the client free gift because of the client's hotness, or give special treatment of any kind.

Then there were the 'normal' ones such as:
12. No worker at BM shall be in a relationship with another worker.
16. No worker shall consume food in front of clients.

Diane told me that the Team was only there on a Sunday because they had just received an enormous stock of BM clothes with their newest collection. She told me it would take ages to do it on any regular work day.

Then she showed me around the Brandy Melville, that I already knew on account that my little sister Clementine goes there all the time.
And then I got to meet the rest of the Team, with a big T : Claire, Matt, Gabrielle, Bridget and Connie.
