The Lily

Day 4

Every morning, my day starts at 8am, and the shop opens at 10:30am.

This morning, Diane has brought croissants and coffee. Gabrielle and I drank to Diane and accidently spilled some coffee everywhere. We were on cleaning duty anyways, so a bit more shit on the floor won't change much, I daresay.

I'm still kind of pissed that on a vacation day, I have to go work so early. 

At least, I don't have to go to school anymore, because my mom felt so pitiful for me when she heard that all the people at school were complete dicks to me. Before vacation, my mom told me she agreed to homeschool me and I guess that means waking up when I want, and working when I want.

Finally, it's 10:30 and we open the doors to the shop.

Two girls come to see me and say, "Hey...Chris," reading my name tag. "We're looking for jumpers. Can you show us to them?"

I'm about to answer when Gabrielle jumps in front of me and cries "I'll show you! He's new, he doesn't know a thing!"

And she walks away, and I stare at her pissed, because apparently, the number of people you help get around the shop and actually help them buy an item goes on your salary.

And no matter how nice everyone is, they always steal MY clients from ME!!

"Hey Chris." a voice says behind me.

I turn around. It's Marina's sister, but I forgot her name.

"Hi...Uuuh..."

She looks a bit hurt that I don't remember her name, because we talked a bit yesterday, at dinner.

"Lily. I'm Marina's sister." she says, a bit dryly.

"I know you're Marina's sister, but I didn't remember your name, I knew it had something to do with a flower..."

"OK..."

"I'm Chris." I say, forgetting she already knows my name.

"OH, Chris, such as Chris-with-mushrooms-on-his-dick? Are you THAT Chris?" she asks sarcastically.

Now it's my turn to look hurt, but she doesn't look sorry. She's even smiling a bit.

Looks like she and Marina are exacty the same after all.
