Alfred, or also known as America, was currently texting his longtime friend, Kiku. Kiku, or Japan, lived (you guessed it) in Japan. Which was pretty much the other side of the Earth for Alfred. Though they live so far away, they still text and call each other on a daily basis.
Their texts (italics = Japan and bold = America):
Hey, Kiku! How's it going?
It is fine here, thank you. How about you?
It's pretty hot, but besides that, it's fine here too.
That is nice to hear.
Mhm. Also, I want to tell you something REALLY cool!
Go ahead, Alfred.
OKAY, so I saved up all of my money and I can finally take a trip to Japan!
That is...actually amazingly mature of you, Alfred. When do you think you can come?
Oh, anytime, I guess! Maybe even this week!
How about Thursday?
Thursday sounds good!
Alfred, calm down. And yes, Thursday would be fine.
Awesome! I'm so excited! It's been so long since I saw you! We haven't had a world meeting in a long time!
It has only been a year...
I don't care! I'm still excited!

Oh, I have to go, see you then!
Okay, Alfred. I'll be waiting for you.
Alfred set down his phone and quickly grabbed a suitcase.
"If it's hot here, then it's cold there!", Alfred whispered, plucking out sweaters and jackets, then stuffing them in his suitcase.
He spent an hour picking out clothes and filling his suitcase with them. And he also made sure to bring a Hatsune Miku plushie, since he heard that giving gifts in Japan is a tradition.
"This is gonna be awesome! We'll go to sushi restaurants, we'll watch anime, and maybe we'll go to one of those temple things!", Alfred told himself, while running around his house, looking for a toothbrush, comb, pair of glasses, etc.
"I can't wait!"
