The ride was sickening, but it was worth it. After a long, long time in the cramped taxi, we finally made it to Cross Academy. The driver hurriedly stepped out of the taxi. Rio and I did the same thing. While the driver unloaded our suitcases and other stuff, Rio started looking around. I sprinted to the nearest tree and put my hand in my pocket. As soon as I felt the necklace my mother gave me, I pulled it out and put it around my neck. Not to show off or anything, I just put it on to remember my parents. I looked at Rio that was gathering her belongings. I strode across to her and gathered my stuff. We both paid the driver and before we knew it he drove off. Rio looked at me with a 'Oh, well' face. I did the same to her. "Let's not waste anymore time! Come on, let's enter our new school." Rio exclaimed. I sighed deeply and gave her a ' Okey Dokey ' smile.
We walked on the gravel pavement that led to the huge gates."Gosh! The sun's bright today." I complained while putting my bottom-half of my hand across my forehead. "Well? We're here." Rio said at last. Yes, we were here. I couldn't help but to stare at the huge iron gates in front of me.'I guess we should walk in?' I question myself. Yes! Was the right answer. We inhaled as much air we could hold in our lungs. Rio looked at me, then I looked at her. We couldn't hold it in but we burst out laughing. The headmaster of the school, which we could recognize instantly; looked at us in surprise. We made a straight face, but I started giggling under my breath. Eventually we stopped laughing and stepped in the school.
