The Meeting

Xavier on the top.

Frozen. Shocked.
Absolutely stuck to the floor.
My mind is blank.

I knew I was gonna get a mate sooner or later. I hoped it would be later. What shocked me more was that I was mated to a human. More to add to this little moment was that this human was related to a fucking gang. My life couldn't get any better, could it? Note the sarcasm. My train of thoughts was broken when 'he' spoke up.

"Hey" he said with a breathtaking smile. I was lost at words. So I just nodded. He didn't stop though. "You're back." He said again as if he still trying to get it wrapped around his head. Before I could reply, I was embraced in a hug. Involuntarily, I wrapped my arms around him. Fireworks erupted inside me. It was like there was a whole zoo in my stomach. I got a bolt of shock and I guess he felt it too because he suddenly jumped away from me. I felt empty. I wanted him back in my arms. I came back to the task at hand which was to get my stuff and leave.

"I gotta go. Mom's waiting." I said. His smile faltered and turned into a frown.

"Will I see you again?" He asked with hope. I nodded and his face lit up like a kid on Christmas.he took a paper and pen off the counter and wrote something in cursive writing. Once he was done, he gave it to me. I gave him a confused look and he just rolled his eyes. I looked at the paper. It was a row of numbers. I guess he saw my confusion because the next thing he said was,

"It's my number. Call me or text me even."

I smiled and nodded. I got my stuff and walked away, waving goodbye.

"BYE VICTORIA!" I stopped. How does he know my name?

"How do you know my name?" I asked out of curiosity.

"I have my ways." I simply gave him a look and he said "Your mom told me." He smiled sheepishly. Damn he seems more like schoolboy rather than a grown up gang member. I laughed at the thought to which he gave a confused look but shrugged it off.

"Speaking of my mom, what were you doing at my house?" I asked.

"Umm I don't know. I guess just wanted to see you again. " to this, I smirked.

"Ha, you- okay, fine, I'm gonna drop it for now cuz I'm getting late. Bye."

"Bye"

I went home thinking how I'm gonna deal with this. He can't know about me. I can't get attached. Somehow I need to reject him without him thinking that I'm a freak.
