Gwen stared at the ground. "She was killed by a masked man." She looked up at you like you were stupid. "Gwen I swear! I heard him kill her! She was on the phone with me when she was killed." Gwen looked deep in thought. "Who would want to kill her?" She looked up at me. "I don't know. But they were at my window." "Are you crazy?!" She exclaimed. "What do you mean, am I crazy? I ran from him Gwen! You were the first person I thought of for help." I sat down on a rocking chair. "Why are they doing this to you (Y/N)?" I bit my lip. "I don't know why.." A loud crash brought our attention to the kitchen. Where the back door is located. I held my finger to my lips in a hushing motion and slowly stood up, starting toward the kitchen, grabbing one of Gwen's trophies off the bookshelf in the way as a make shift weapon. Another loud crash sounded as we made our way around the corner, peeking into the kitchen. A sigh of relief washed over me. It was her dog. He just tipped over his food and water bowls. "Oh for fucks sake." I put my hand on my forehead and grinned, Gwen giggled in relief. "Well I guess we caught the intruder." I put the trophy on the kitchen counter and looked at my buzzing phone.
Mom: 6 missed calls
I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up. As soon as it started ringing my mother's ringtone started playing faintly upstairs. Both mine and Gwen's faces went pale. We both knew my mom had a tracker in my phone to see where I am. "M-mom?" I called out. Only to be met with a sick laughter. Gwen and I darted out of the house and started running. We ended up at the school, by the time we had made it out lungs were burning like a blue fire. I took my phone out of my pocket and smashed it in an attempt to disable the tracker. "Okay, they're gonna see we were here now we have to get away from here." Gwen breathlessly exclaimed. She took out her phone and shakily put in her passcode. No signal. "Great." "What?" She turned her screen to face me. "We can't call for help and my battery is almost dead. Why'd you have to bring me into this?!" I looked at her a little hurt. "I Brought you into this?? Gwen! Look at the bigger picture here! We're alive. And neither one of us could make it by ourselves. Besides, if they went after Arehly they're probably gonna take us out one by one!"
She let out a wail of frustration.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry. But you're right. Where do we need to go?" I thought for a moment. "There's a Shell station about a mile up the road. We can call for help there."
We stopped dead in our tracks as a voice sounded "Aww..leaving so soon~" I turned to the direction it came from only to be met with nothing. Then I heard Gwen's muffled scream. I whirled back around towards her to nothing. She was gone. I was alone. Tears flooded my eyes as I looked around, voice broken from holding back my helpless sobs. "Gwen?" I started breathing frantically and shook my head. "Fuck." I started running as fast as I could towards the Shell. As I neared a dark sillouett stood still in the middle of the street. It was too far for me to make out and specific details. The figure looked too lanky and tall to be human, it had crazy hair and pointed fingers..hands that extended past the knee. My heart started to pound in my chest. "Holy fuck." I turned around and began to run the other way, I stopped. Two hooded figures stood in the middle of the road about the same distance from me as the lanky sillouett. I began to cry, knowing that you're going to die is the most greif striking thing to experience. I turned to see if the lanky man was still there. He was gone. I began to run again, my heart pounding in my chest as I reached the Shell station. A sigh of relief washed over me as I entered the store. The clerk wasn't at the counter. Weird. "Excuse me?" I called out. I heard footsteps. A boy in a brown jacket and white mask came out from the back lugging a bloody crowbar over his shoulder. My face drained of all color. I'm going to die.??? Pov
I grinned. Today is the day I get my beautiful (Y/N). She can't escape from me now. I've asked favors from Masky, Hoodie, And L.J to help me track her down. I saw her run into this store where no doubt Masky was. So gullible. She should've known she can't run from me. She will love me. I don't care if I have to force her to love me. I don't care if I have to kill off everyone in my way. She. will. be. mine. I walked towards the Shell station that I previously heard (Y/N) and her friend talking about. "Call for help... Hah. Please." I snickered. She isn't fucking going anywhere. I rounded to the back of the building to where the emergency exit was and opened the door, I walked in to a beautiful sight. She's distracted by the blood of his murder and he can't even give away that I'm here. Perfect.
Y/N POV
The smell of metal and rot flooded my nose. The blood wasn't fresh. So why was he here for so long? A white hand wrapped itself around my throat from behind me as a sharp object pressed against the skin of my back, already broken through the cloth of my shirt. "We finally meet, my little toy."
