KILLIAN
"What do you want Killian ?" She asked closing and locking the door.
"Look, just hear me out. All my life, I've had my share of women. I had two that I thought would probably be my soul mate. By spending more and more time with you, I fell for you and I can tell you something special....."
"Killian, I'm twenty eight, I've had my heart broken before and I'm tired of games. If you're not ready to stop playing games and settle down, then I'm not the one. If we go there I want to make sure it's me and you, and not nobody else."
"I've always been grown about mines, I been finish playing games, I got a son to raise and all I want is the right lady by my side, so I ask once again, What's it's going to be April?" I stood over her. She turned her head to the side. I grabbed her chin and stared into her glistening eyes. She nodded her head and wrapped her arms around me. I sighed in relief.
"I miss you Killian."
"I miss you too baby girl." I held onto her as we stood there not breaking our hug.
The following morning I was asleep. April was butt-naked nestled next to me. My cell phone buzzed on the nightstand nearby. I looked at the clock and notice it was noon. I grabbed my phone and read the message from Kayla.
"Hey, you don't have to worry about picking up Kaleb today. He went to a basketball game with my dad."
I sighed. I wanted to spend as much time as I can with my son. But I'm also glad because I need to go looking for an apartment. Even though me and Kayla went half on the house, I wouldn't dare make her move. That was my sons home. I simply replied to the message and told her I wanted to meet and talk. She could pick the time and place.
I placed my phone back on the nightstand and rubbed my hand across my face. I felt April stir in the bed. She eased up and looked at me.
"Good morning."
"Morning." I replied looking in her eyes.
"You okay? You want some breakfast?"
"I'm good now, and yes." I laid back in the bed and grabbed her pulling her on top. We shared plenty of kisses before she got up and marched into the bathroom. Thirty minutes later she came back out wearing one of my shirts and her hair in a ponytail. I rose up from the bed and headed inside her bathroom.
I wrapped the towel around my waist and walked inside the kitchen where the smell of waffles, bacon and eggs filled my nostrils.
"So you just gone steal my clothes and leave me walking around in a towel?"
"No, you have some clothes in the laundry room." She spoke while retrieving two plates from the top cabinet. I headed for the laundry room and saw my clothes neatly folded. I grabbed them and headed back inside the bedroom. I put on my clothes and walked back inside the kitchen. I sat at the round glass table as April placed a plate in front of me. She then placed her plate down and went to retrieve the two glasses of orange juice.
"So where do we go from here, do you plan on moving in?"
"You're my girl, and I'm not sure about that, I'm going to look at apartments later today. My son has to have his own room and feel comfortable. But of course I'll be here most of the time."
