****Lyra's P.O.V.****
I woke up, gasping for breath. I sat straight up, my heart beating fast. I felt Harry's arm around my waist, and he sat up, looking groggily around.
"Wazgoinon?" He asked, putting his glasses on.
I ran my hand through my tangled hair and sighed, "Just a dream, Harry, sorry for waking you," my voice cracked a bit at the end.
"No, Ly, something happened, what's wrong?" He looked at me, concern in his eyes. I just shook my head, trying to hold back tears. He must've gotten the hint that i didn't want to talk about it, so he just put his arm around me.
"I remembered, Harry. I remembered everything, not just the memories with Ron, Mione, Sarah, and Hannah. I remember-" I cut myself off. He didn't need to know that until I explained everything. "Harry, come here. I need to talk to you,"
He looked confused, but obeyed and followed me to the common room, anyways. "What did you want to talk about, Ly?"
I shift in my seat a bit, "Look, Harry, I know, you'll probably hate me after this, but give me a chance to speak, please," I pleaded with him, and he nodded, so I went on, "Harry, you know the story of what happened to Pettigrew, right? How they could only find a finger, and that he's been 'dead' for twelve years?" I put emphasis on the word dead.
He nodded, and I shakily kept going, "Ron's had Scabbers for twelve years, and he's missing a toe. Don't you get it, Harry? Scabbers is Pettigrew. He's an animagus!"
He looked at me skeptically, but his eyes widened, and he came back with the rat in a cage and a blank piece of parchment.
"Lupin's been giving me lessons on how to defend myself against the dementors. He taught me the Patronous cham, and my patronous is a stag. Lupin told me that it was the same as my father's, and that he was part of a pranking group with Pettigrew and Black, the latter helped my dad make a map of the entire school," He held out the parchment, and muttered something thing that made the parchment become a full map, "Ly, this must be the map. Prong would be my dad, 'cause of the antlers. Wormtail must mean Pettigrew. Do you know what this means, Ly? My godfather is innocent!" He whispered, excitement in his eyes.
"Er, Harry, remember when I said you'd probably hate me? Well, Sirius Black is my uncle," I cringed, waiting for his response.
He just did the same thing he did after my re-sorting. He put his finger under my chin, and made me look at him, "Ly, I don't care. We just found a way to save an innocent man from a horrible fate. Key word, innocent. He is your family, and, while we can't control family, I think you'll be okay. I don't care what the world thinks, you're an amazing, beautiful person, who shouldn't be judged by a falsely accused uncle. You have this perfect personality, that's balanced between kind, ambitious, brave, and, not to mention, beautiful. It's your decision, and no matter what you choose, Ill be there for you, Ly,"
I soon as he finished, I felt tears spring to my eyes, "thank you, Harry. I know I can count on you, and that's probably one of the reasons why I-" I slapped my hand over my mouth, my face burning red.
"Why you what?" He asked, looking at me curiously.
"N-nothing," I stutter, realizing how close we are. "W-why don't we go down to Lupin's office and see if he can help us?" I said, trying to will the red in my face to go away. Harry agreed, so we grabbed the cage and map, and set off under his cloak.
We manage to get go Lupin's office without any disruptions, and end up arriving around seven. I see he's still awake, so I motion Harry to come in.
