This will be the first time I write about my school life here, huh? I'm so excited can't you tell? The school's okay I guess. The only class I really hate is math, my favourite being gym. Just because I'm chubby doesn't mean I don't work out. I like to believe I have really big bones. To be entirely honest, I'm the fastest in my class, and I even went in track last year. I took home a bronze medal and we even have my award banner hung up on the gymnasium wall, so, that's pretty neato.

We're supposed to be doing some sort of project for the upcoming science fair. The teacher didn't really assign us a certain project, just said that it's up to us, and proceeded to read off a list of names, pairing people up. I'm not exactly okay with group assignments, mainly because I'm afraid I'll get stuck with some lazy ass kid who'll dump all the work on me and claim they helped, but it's also an alright way to make some friends. I would've liked to have been partnered with Jen Ross, mostly because the grapevine told me she's never gotten a mark under 80%, but instead, I got stuck with Lee Ming Kwong. She seemed to have been absent today, which was kind of a relief for me because I've heard about her reputation. Lee isn't exactly the best person in the school, constantly skipping, picking fights with other students, and just blowing everything off in general. Looks like I'll be doing most of the work, like I feared.

The 'popular' bunch of kids said hello to me in the hall today. I know it shouldn't matter and that they're just like us - but prettier and richer - but it really matters to me. I was acknowledged by cool kids! Okay sure, they've said hello to me before, but still. It matters. The group is made up of five people, - two girls and three boys - Victoria Henderson, Hayley Hancock, Felix Burns, Sevastian Chornovil, (he moved here from Ukraine a year ago, and I think the fact that he's from somewhere other than Canada is why he's in the group. I mean, he's got good looks, but he isn't exactly the most pleasant person to be around.) and Dominiq Jackson. I think the only reason they let Dominiq into the group is because his family is fucking loaded. I think they all find him a bit annoying.

I also made a friend in Art class today. Her name is Sugar (literally. I'm not pulling your leg here. She said her parents are hippies and her father was very, very high when he named her) and we bonded over our strong disliking of Mr. Arias, the teacher. He's a huge creep, and I know for a fact he's been in a relationship - a short one, but still a relationship - with one of the students in his class. The principle doesn't know, and I don't know how he doesn't because literally all of the kids in the school know about it, so I'm starting to think he's just denying the fact that it actually happened.
