Growing up my older brother and I were really interested in politics. We would stare at the television screen waiting for our parents to come back home from work. We've been keeping track on the candidates campaign, the promises they promised to do. Some promised to help the environment others promised that they would reduce our taxes, but the one that we loved was...

"Choi Siwon" said Chanyeol his eyes never leaving the screen. I looked up and there he was waving with his beautiful model wife Im Yoona by his side. Out of all the candidates he was the most charismatic, smart and had the biggest project for South Korea. Sadly of all these didn't help him with the race.

"Look at him Sooyoung" said my brother. "Can you believe it just few years ago he was living across the street from us and now look at him running for president against big names."

We lived in a small neighbourhood, it wasn't the wealthiest or the cleanest, but everyone lived in harmony. There was a factory where all the parents worked I heard it wasn't fun and games in that factory, they have to work from early morning until midnight and their allowance was not enough to take care of a family. But there is nothing to worry about since Siwon-oppa is going to do something about it he is going to help our community get better not just our but others that do not have the possibility to live like kings and queens.

"Sooyoung he is about to give a speech" said Chanyeol-oppa excited.

As much as I wanted to keep watching the television screen I could not stop staring at my older brother. He had that spark in his eyes, he had a smile on his face that made my heart warm I didn't want him to lose that smile. The front door opened my parents came back from work.

"Mom, Dad" I ran in my father arms. He lifted me up spin me around. My mother was right behind him and walked pass us holding a box of pizza.

"We are going to eat that for super?" I asked as my father put me down. "Yes are you happy?" asked my father while taking off his shoes. I nodded, we usually don't get to eat a lot of junk food so it was like waking up on Christmas morning seeing two large boxes of pizza and a bottle of cola.

"Chanyeol-ah turn off the television it is time to eat" said my mother. Chanyeol-oppa was too absorbed in the television screen to move a muscle. My father had no choice but go get him himself.

Once we were all around we started digging, my brother was explaining everything that Choi Siwon-sshi was saying in his speech and all the projects he was going to accomplish. He was so passionate it about every single word that was coming out of his mouth, I was awe how can a sixteen year old be show so much intensity in something like politics he was indeed original.

"Very nice Chanyeol thank you for keeping me updated" said my father after oppa was done with what he had to share. My parents glanced at each other then look back to us.

"Kids there is something to tell you guys" said my father with a concern tone in his voice. The atmosphere was making me uncomfortable and to make things more awkward my mother held my mother.

"Hum I don't know how I'm suppose to make it easy for you guys to understand without making it sound ... Chanyeol, Sooyoung today we received a noticed from the director of the factory and it's closing its door which means that your mother and I have lost our jobs" explained my father.

I looked over at my mother who was trying really hard to act strong affront of us. Her watery eyes gave her away. My parents were both jobless what were going to do? How can we pay the rent? Were we going to move away? How about school? Do I have to quit and find myself a job? So many questions were running through my head I was trying really hard not to over think about things.

"Dad there is no need to worry" said Chanyeol-oppa "Once Choi Siwon gets elected we are going to live like kings and queens"

"Chanyeol listen to me son I know you look up to him, but this isn't a game you can't put all of your hopes on one man alone. People sometimes make promises but don't keep them you know..."

"Do you doubt Siwon-hyung? He was our neighbour he grew up in this neighborhood he knows what changes need to be made and where in the country you just have to be patient once he ..."

"Chanyeol! Listen to me alright Siwon is just like any politician he just wants to get elected in order to get power and rule over the country, he is going to keep some of his promises like helping with the environment and stuff other then that I don't see why I should bother getting up and waist my vote on a pretty face that only reads what others want to hear." said my father.

The room became quite my brother and my fathers were staring at each other angry towards each other. All I could do was stare at them no words could put them back at ease, Chanyeol finally left the kitchen I followed him.

We entered our bedroom I closed the door behind me. I turned back to see oppa staring at the wall, he looked so down after the conversation he had with my father, I wanted to help him so much but couldn't think of anything to say.

"One day" said my Chanyeol-oppa "One day I'll run for president to prove dad wrong, I'll keep my promises and make our country great and powerful". He turned around facing me.

"I'll make sure that one day you'll be watching me from the television screen" he said. He had a smile on his face that made also made me smile.

...

That smile back then made its way back on my face. Watching the television screen in a room crowed with members of Park Chanyeol party watching their chief giving his speech live made everyone stops and stare. He looked so handsome and confident in what he was saying, he must've been preparing for this moment since the day he made his promise. After his speech was over, everyone in the room cheered with joy, it was like assisting a boy band concert. My bother walked down the red carpet with his wife or soon-to-be-wife Park Lizzy she looked gorgeous in that designer dress it felt like it was made for her.

I stood on a box and grabbed a microphone. "Alright listen up you guys" the crowed quiet down "Mister Park made his very first live television speech..." the crowed went back to cheering. As much as I wanted to go crazy like them I had to keep it professional I am the campaign manager I couldn't let my excitement take over me affront of my employees.

"Alright, alright calm yourself as I was saying before the interruption. Mister Park wants to thank each and every one of you wants all of you to celebrate this moment with your friends and family so all of you can go home early and celebrate"

We could've mistaken the office for zoo, the men were acting like animals when they its diner time. I turned facing the television screen, Oppa was waving he had that contagious smile.

"We did it Oppa" I whispered to myself.
