Prologue: The Day I Met My Cupid
"Natalie, I think you should stop liking that guy."
"Are you judging our relationship, Tracey?"
"No. I'm just saying."
"Well, don't tell me those things. Don't be so subjective. You don't even know him. Why, are you an expert with these kind of things?"
Tracey has been so erratic with the fact that I am head over heels on Tyler, the popular guy. What made her think that I don't have hope for this boy? He just asked me out to the movies this coming weekend.
"Nat, I know you won't believe me in what I'm trying to say. But I don't want to see him break your heart."
"He'll never break my heart."
She had nothing left to do but sigh in frustration. "Here, read this." handing me a green stationary notebook. I pondered the object for a moment. The surface was pretty smooth and it ws covered with dirty green color. There was a drawing of a cup of coffee embed at the front, and I can easily notice at the silvery lines of the mocked smoke coming above the picture. I can see that the bookmark was placed at the last pages of the notebook and there was this green garter for the likeness of closing it.
I looked up back at her and wondered, "What is this?"
"See for yourself." And with that, she went away.
I returned home feeling obliged to read what my friend just gave me. I fished out from my backpack the said notebook. I flipped it open and from the very first page, it says,
"There are simple rules when it involves love. Learn these with your mind, follow these with your heart."
