11//Goodbye

I got up and went downstairs. One of my mothers signature notes laid on the counter. Gone to the store, be back soon. Arianna and Hayes stay away from each other.

I ripped it up and threw it away. I went upstairs to his room and pushed him off the bed. He groaned. I laid down beside him. "Mom wrote a note telling us to stay away from each other."

"And?" He asked.

"I'm ignoring it."I smiled.

I kissed him.

"What was that for?"He asked.

"I didn't kiss you back last night."I said.

"You didn't really have a choice."He laughed.

The front door slammed. I jumped up and ran down the hall. "Go get some groceries."Mom said.

I did and Hayes followed me. "Well that lasted all of five seconds."

I smiled. I laid the groceries on the counter and went upstairs. Sierra opened my door. "Get your bathing suit and meet me in the car."She said.

I put my bathing suit on and then put a t-shirt and leggings over it. I grabbed my phone and went down to the car. "You needed out of that house."She said.

We went inside and put our stuff down on a chair. I jumped in and the warm water surrounded me.

~hours later~

I walked upstairs and went to his room, he wasn't there. Nash and Cameron weren't here either. I rushed downstairs. "Mom where are the boys?" I asked.

"Cameron took Nash and Hayes to the airport."

"No, you're joking."

"No I'm not."

I grabbed my phone and ran outside. "Get back in, get me to the airport now."

She started the car and took off. "They left." A tear rolled down my face.

"It's okay we'll get there."She said.

She parked her car randomly and we rushed in. I looked all around looking for them, my hair was still wet.  "No, no were to late." I cried.

A group of people moved out of the way. They were about to board the plane. I took off running, Nash nudged Hayes. He let go of his bags. I wrapped myself around him. "Don't leave please." I cried.

"Please, please don't leave me. You weren't suppose to leave for another two weeks."

"Your mom called and said that none of us were getting along, so mom wants us home."

"It's not true though."

"Just call her and say it was a lie, tell her the truth, just don't leave me."

"Hayes, we have to." Nash said.

"No, no you don't, please don't." I cried.

"I'll be back I promise." He kissed my forehead.

His hand slipped out of my mine. A hand laid on my shoulder. "Come on." Cam said.

We got back home and I locked myself in my room. The school website was updated. They had the date for prom. May 2. Great.

Mom opened my door. "Get out."I said.

"Arianna."

"Go!"I threw a pillow at her.

She stood there. I got up and went outback. I laid down in the spot I had fell in last night. The spot he kissed me in.

~Months later~

My dress hung on the back my door. I wasn't going. I walked downstairs and handed Sierra my phone. Cameron had a date, some ditzy girl from his English class he never attends.

After I took a few pictures with him I retrieved my phone, grabbed something to eat and drink and went back to my room. I had spent pretty much everyday in here barely speaking to my mom or anyone. I talked to Sierra and Cameron when I needed someone but that's it.

I scrolled through Twitter. Sierra came in. "Hey." She sat down beside me.

"Hey." I semi-smiled.

"How are you?" She asked.

I shrugged.

"Ari, he wouldn't want you to lay around and mope." She said.

"Get out!" My mom yelled.

We looked at each other before checking to see what it was. My breathing quickened as I saw who it was. Nash and Hayes.

"Arianna don't, he's just using you." Mom said.

I looked at Sierra she smiled. "Go."

My mother stared at me. I slowly walked down the stairs, standing between him and mom. He had on a khakis and t-shirt, and held a big bouquet of roses. "Arianna don't do it."

"Do it." Sierra said.

"Don't."Mom raised her voice.

"Stop it!"I screamed falling to my knees.

"If I love someone I love them and nobody's opinion is going to change that." I said.

"Arianna this isn't love you just think it is." Mom said.

"Stop it, why do you keep trying to get me to hate him." I said.

"Cause he doesn't love you!" She yelled.

"Why would you say that?"

"Because only one boy has shown any interest in you before him and he was a weird nobody which makes me want to know why someone like him would."

"Wow." I said.

I stood up. Hayes looked sad like he was feeling all the pain in the world. I hugged him. Sierra smiled as she walked inside. "Come with me."

She took me upstairs and sat me down. "You don't have to put the dress on but you're at least gonna let me do your hair and makeup."

I smiled at her.

"You know mom thought she was protecting me."

"She'll grow to like him, he's a sweet kid." She said straightening my hair.

After she got done with my hair and makeup she guided me outside. The back deck had lights all around it. "Go." She nudged me.

He grinned as he stood in my yard. I walked down the stairs and grabbed his hand. "May I have this dance?"He smiled.

"You may." I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my head on his chest.

"Tell me that we belong together."I sang along.

"I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love suicide." He spun me.

"Arianna shut up and let him dance with you!" Cameron said.

The song ended and I leaned in."Tag your it!"

I took off running everybody else behind me. Hayes tagged Nash, Nash tagged Sierra and Sierra tagged Cam, who once again tagged Hayes. He was coming at me. "No!"I yelled laughing.

He wrapped his arms around me from behind picking me up. He kissed my cheek and let go. "Your it!"
