The amount of force in his kiss surprised me, considering his small stature and non-dominant personality. Hyun Woo pulled away almost immediately after our lips made contact.

"Too much?"

He asked, furrowing his brow in a state of embarrassment.

"Nope. Not at all."

I replied, trying my best to hold back my laughter at his adorable innocence.

"Actually it was kinda cute."

I said, with a proud smirk on my face.

"Cute?!"

Hyun Woo hated that word and I used it against him as much as possible.

"What do you mean it was cute?! You know how hard I tried? Geez! I can't believe you!"

I continued to let him rant about how anxious he was and how many times he faked practiced, blah, blah, blah. I knew he was just working off nervous energy. Such a weird boy. But I guess that's why I like him?

"Are you even listening to me right now?"

Hyun Woo asked, clearly still heated about my careless insult.

"Yes, yes, I'm listening."

I replied, half aware of what he was actually saying.

"Ellie, are you okay?"

Hyun Woo asked with genuine concern.

"Huh?"

I had no idea what he meant until I saw the water drop on my phone screen.

"What the? Is it raining?"

I asked him.

"No...you're crying."

Crying? I'm sorry but I don't cry, I thought to myself. I quickly wiped my face to remove any tears that had stained my cheeks. Hyun Woo came closer and kneeled down in front of the bench I was siting on.

"Was it something I said?"

He asked.

"No don't worry. I don't even know why I'm crying."

I replied.

"I was just thinking about you, and me, and...."

I trailed off, unable to finish my sentence before the tears started rolling once again. Hyun Woo didn't hesitate to wrap me in his arms, shielding me from the brisk evening air. As he held me, I couldn't stop myself from crying even harder, visibly shaking at this point. Hyun Woo wasn't bothered at all, and the only time he moved was to reposition his arms. When I finally regained my composure, I brushed him off me and tried to act like nothing happened. But Hyun Woo wasn't one to let something like that slide.

"What the hell just happened?"

He asked, in a rather frantic tone.

"I have no idea. I swear. I guess I just got too caught up on the fact that you're mov-"

"Don't say it."

He replied, cutting me off before I could finish.

"We promised each other not to talk about it. You're the only person keeping me sane right now and I can't afford to think about losing you."

Hyun Woo's expression changed drastically. From an expression of concern, to one of complete seriousness. Something I had gotten quite used to seeing in these past 2 months.

"Okay. Sorry. I'm changing the topic now."

I said rather quickly, as to avoid any further complications.

"It's fine. Just...don't bring it up anymore. The day is coming too soon and I'd rather not think about it any more than I have to."

I knew it wasn't a good idea to push his buttons about this topic, but I just had one last thing to say.

"Hyun Woo?"

I said, in cracked, post-crying voice.

"Yeah?"

He replied, turning back to face me.

"Are you gonna forget me when you become handsome and famous?"

He scoffed at my stupid question, but it was enough to make a soft smile appear on his face. He and I had often joked that he would become a Korean idol once he returned to his hometown. Hyun Woo never thought much of it, but I knew how amazing of a singer he was and how motivated and determined he could be. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually happened.

"god El, are you crazy? You'd be the first one I'd call to come drag my sorry ass back home."
