It was early in the morning, at least two hours before sun rise. Almost everyone in the famous Mystery Shack was fast asleep. Mabel was laying curled up in her bed while hugging Waddles in her sleep, Stan and Ford were sleeping in each of their rooms and Soos and Melody were sleeping peacefully in their own room which Soos had built over the year. Only the still young Dipper Pines was awake, quietly he packed his brown backpack. For a last time he checked if he hadn't forgotten something.

"Flashlight, check, thinking pens, check, a waterbottle if I get thirsty, check, but where is...", the teen whispered to himself, starting to panic as he didn't found the last item. With worry in his eyes he scanned the room for it, finally he found what he had been looking for. Dipper walked over to his nightstand in order to pick up the blue book which was laying there. It was his journal he wanted to begin writing this summer and starting with the statue of the most powerful creature that ever existed. The Pine tree on the cover glistened in the moon light that shined through the little triangular window. He put it in his bag with a smile on his lips, for some reason he was excited to see the demon again. Slowly he tip toed down the always cracking staires, hoping that he wouldn't wake anybody up and he had his reasons. When his family noticed that he left the Shack this early without telling them where he went and he didn't know how long he could tell them lies before they figure out where he went. Dipper knew they would be really upset that he left the house at 4 a.m. in order to look after Bill. It had been difficult enough to make them belive yesterday evening that he had lost his cap in the woods, today he could tell them that he was searching it, but after that? What he should tell them then? Studying this statue would probably take longer than just a few hours. The young boy stepped out of the door, breathing in the cool air of the night.

The teen arrived fast at the stoned demon. To his surprise the Pine tree he had drawn the day before was still on the top hat of the statue. Like yesterday he sat criss crossed in front of the dream demon on the ground of the forest. Dipper put his backpack next to him and took out his journal and one pen.

"Look, I write now my own journal! The secrets of this town need to be written down and since you burned the other ones, I thought to do my own one! You also have the honor to be the first entry in it! So if you  try to take over the galaxy, please don't burn it again, you could hide them in another universe or keep them to yourself, but it would be sad if all the hard work is destroyed. This reminds me that nobody told great uncle Ford yet, the little detail that his whole research is now ash.", the teen chuckled however, he immediately frowned. He was about to do the same mistake as Ford had done. He grew sympathy for this psycho. "You won't mind if I draw you, will you?", the teen asked the demon blankly, of course he didn't get an answer. Dipper started the sketch of the stoned demon, reproducing every little detaile. "So don't you talk to me, because this could destroy your future plans or... maybe there is really someone who just clean you and this one is afraid to show up, since I am here", the teen finished his drawing and took a sip from his waterbottle,"I would offer you some because I know from Ford that you drink with your eye however, I don't think you can drink when you are a stone. Besides it isn't Time punch or human soda or whatelse you maybe drink, just water." The brunette shows him his bottle. He laid down next to the statue  and watched the sky. It was still pretty early, so that he could see the beautiful night sky with the moon and all the little stars. He found the star constellation of the big dipper and smiled as a shooting star flew past it.

"Kind of beautiful, isn't it?" Dipper jumped as he heard the voice. In fear he sat up and looked around for the person or thing who have just said that. As he did so the teen noticed two things, the statue wasn't on his side anymore and the world had turned grey scale, how hadn't he noticed the change. Oh no!, the boy thought to himself.

"Oh yes, my little Pine tree! Did you miss me? Admit it, you missed me!"

"Hardly!"

"Yesterday you said something different!" Dipper blushed at the words of the demon who floated now in front of him who didn't change at all, only one thing is different and the teen knew that it hadn't been Bill who changed that. On his black top hat was the conture of a Pine tree which glowed blue. The boy took his hat up from the ground and placed it on his head in order to hide his red face from the demon. He listened all the time to me, thanks goddness I didn't tell him things that could embrass me a lot more right now!
