I was sitting at my desk talking to Kevin (KDL)my best friend and neighbor. We were talking about how much girl are yucky. Then our teacher Mrs. Johnson came in and told us we had a new student today. We all saw a girl with light brown hair and blues eyes. All I did was look at her and instantly want to be her friend. Everything Kevin (KLD) and I were talking about flew out the window. Then I heard her say her name. Which was Eleanor Brown. Then I heard Mrs. Johnson say Eleanor you sit by Derek Luh. Eleanor grabbed her books and came to the seat next to me. I looked over at her and smiled at her. She smiled backed and when back to listening to Mrs. Johnson.

_ 1 hour later (lunchtime, still  Derek Luh P. O. V)_

We all lined up for lunch like always. We all walked down to the cafeteria for lunch as I was waiting in line for my food I watched Eleanor with her lunchbox and sat next to a girl who looked a little older than her. I looked away from Eleanor and got my lunch and sat down with John (Jswazz), Sammy, Nate, and Kevin  (KDL ) who all lived in my neighborhood. We all sat there talking and eating. As we were talking I saw Eleanor walk to me. She smiled asked if anyone wanted her cheese sticks and oranges. I told her I'll take them off her hands. She smiled again and threw the bag in the trash and went back to her seat. Then the lunch lady told us it was time to go so we all sat in a line and wait for our teacher to let us have recess. Mrs. Johnson had us have recess inside since was raining today.

-recess (Derek Luh P.O.V)-

John (Jswazz), Sammy, Nate, and Kevin (KDL), and I were playing with the train station. I looked at Eleanor for the fifth time today. I saw her drawing on her desk. So I decided to go to my desk and talk to her. I walked to my desk she looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back and said" Hi I'm Derek Luh and I'm 7 years old,"  I said to her. She said," Hello I'm Eleanor Brown and I'm 7 years old to". Then I asked if she had brothers or sisters. She said" I have 3 older brothers and sisters and I'm the youngest out of all of us. I told her I had 1 younger sister. Eleanor said" Cool". Then we kept on asking each other questions until it was time for math. We all got done with our last class of the day. So that meant it was time to go home for the day.
