Chapter 12

Niall's POV
As far as I know, we've been in this room for 4 days. Hunger eating at our stomachs. I don't know if we will last.
Kristina sobs at my side. I promised her we will get out of here.
I don't break my promises.
I get up and head to the door.
"Where are you going?" She asks, voice a little low and dry.
"I'm getting us out of here."
I put my hands on the door knob and try to open it. It's a stupid idea but I try it anyway.
I bang on the door with my right hand.
After 5 minutes of doing anything I can I give up and sink to the ground. My back against the door, and head in my hands.
Kristina walks over to me and sits down. "At least you tried?"
I don't say anything.
"We're not getting out of here, are we?" She says.
I look at her. Tears were in her eyes, red and puffy.
I take her hands in mine.
"We will. I'll do anything it takes to get us out of here."
She looks at me.
Even in the dark and tears streaming down her face, she was still beautiful.
She leans in and hugs me.
I put my arms around her.
It only lasts for a couple of seconds though. I hear someone running toward us.
We quickly separate and back away from the door.
It opens seconds later.
A male figure stands there.
"Come on! Get up. Hurry!"
We both get up.
"Follow me." He runs out the door and heads left.
I look at Kristina, she confused.
I walk over to her and take her hand.
I lead her to the door and head in the same direction the man went in.
He's standing in the middle of the hallway, waiting for us.
We run over to him. "Wh-"
"No questions. Not yet. I'll tell you when we are in a safe place." He quickly says. "Follow me. We don't have much time."
He runs off and we follow him. We are much slower, not much energy in us.

We reach a door. It has a window in the middle but is blocked by wood.
The man plays with the doorknob, clearly in a hurry.
He finally manages to unlock it.
He opens it and a bright light shines on us and a rush of hot air.
I squint and cover my eyes with my arms.
"Why are you helping us?" Kristina asks.
"I said I'll tell you later. Now come on."
I follow the figure, still not adjusting to the brightness.
Kristina grabs my hand, and we follow the man to a car.
I've adjusted to the light a little by now. Kristina gets in first and I follow.
The man gets in the passenger seat, another man in the drivers.
Kristina cuddles up next to me, shaking.
The man turns toward us. "Alright. I'll explain later, but for right now you all need to go see your family and friends and tell them your alive."
The car drives off.
No one says anything.

Kristina's POV
We reach a building. I look around, none of these buildings look familiar.
"Where are we?" I ask.
"Still in Miami. Just south."
No wonder it doesn't look familiar. I've never been south.
"Come on, let's go. Everyone is inside waiting."
"Everyone?" Niall asks.
"Family? Friends?"
I look at Niall.
"Oh." He whispers then looks down.
I talk his hand. He looks at me and I nod.
He gets out the car. I follow shortly behind. We follow the man, who hasn't told us anything yet.
We all walk through the door, a cold breeze hitting us. I shiver.
I look around, see some faces I recognize and some I don't.
Harry, Liam, Louis, Sasha, my mom and some faces that Niall might recognize.
Harry spots us and runs over. Everyone else looks our way, the biggest smiles on their faces.
Everyone either walks or runs over.
A bunch of questions being thrown at us.
I look around for Niall. I spot him hugging his mom.
I look for mine but I don't see her.
I see Harry in front of me, so I hug him first.
I hug Louis next, then Liam, Sasha and my mom last.
I break from her contact and look at her.
Her eyes were puffy, tears still streaming down her face.
"I'm sorry." She says.
"For what?" I ask.
"Everything."
I look at her confused.
She sighs. "I was at home and Maura (Niall's moms name if you didn't know that) called. You haven't been home for over 4 days. She told me she hadn't seen Niall, she tried calling the boys but they hadn't seen him or you either. She came over and we talked."
"How long was I gone?" I ask.
"6 days?"
6 days? I smile at her and walk off to find Niall.
I find him sitting next his mom, talking.
I decide not to disturb them. I walk off and find Louis.
"Hey, love." He smiles at me.
I smile back and sit next to him.
"Hey."
"The boys are thinking about going out for something to eat, wanna come?"
"Of course!"
He laughs.
"Okay. I'll call you when we are ready to leave."
I smile and hug him. I get up and head over to Liam and Sasha.
I sit next to Sasha, "hey."
"Hey, sweet bean. You alright?" Sasha says.
I smile, "I am now."
"At least your safe and here." She smiles and hugs me again.
We break apart, I look to the left and see Niall walking towards me.
I get up and walk over to him.
I hug him. He chuckles and hugs me back.
"I told you we'll get out of there." He whispers.
I smile and break the hug.
Liam walks up to us.
"You guys want something to eat?" He asks.
"Yeah?"
I just nod.
I look over at Louis who was waving at us to come over.
We get in a car and head to a place to eat.
