Everything was perfect. Rae was fine, she had gotten out of therapy, and a great family adopted her. But what if she was lying? What if she just couldn't deal? She turns to the best option. Or at least the easiest. She runs away. Nothing's stopped her before right?
Nobody notices. Well except for her adoptive family of course. They had called the police, but they found no trace of her, no matter how much they searched. She was gone.
Someone else notices too. A certain non-invisible boy named Nathaniel. He had been her neighbor from down the street since the were 12 years old. He wakes up to his open window and a note from the equally invisible girl, saying he was the only one she could trust with this information. She tells him to meet her, but on a certain date in six months. And so he follows her. She wasn't expecting him to stay anymore, she wanted him to leave and get out of her new life, she didn't want him there, but he's a very stubborn person, so it was happening no matter what.
