He never came back to my class that period and in a weird way, it kind of discouraged me. I walked out of Mrs.T's with my schedule in hand looking for my next class. Next I had English with Mr. Johnson. I walked leisurely there and surprisingly made it with a minute to spare. That class was boring beyond belief so I'm not going to go into much detail on the subject. Once it was nutrition I had to go to my locker to put away my back pack and my books. When I was trying to put away the groups of useless stuff I had for each class they all slipped out of my grasp and my papers and books flew everywhere. "Jesus Christ!" I exclaimed annoyed beyond belief. As I was scrambling to grab my stuff I look up to a hand and behind it a lovely face. It was the boy that left from science class earlier. I wondered why he helped me because he seemed quite stressed and annoyed that period and I assumed it was because of me staring at him like I just saw for the first time. "Do you need any help?" He asked is a baritone voice. I got extremely nervous and embarrassed and butterflies flew threw my stomach like they were being shot at with a gun. "Uh, yeah that would be lovely, uh thank you.." I said awkwardly. He grabbed a couple of books of mine and held them as he waited for me to be finished making a fool of myself by scrambling for my stuff. He gave me my books and asked, "You're in my science class right?" I said," Um I think so" he said, " Cool, yeah you seemed like you were new, well if you need anything or help or whatever just tell me." "Okay." I said internally screaming. He said, "Okay see you around!" "Okay bye!" I said way too enthusiastically. I looked down smiling even though I was so embarrassed and I put the rest of my stuff in my locker. In that moment I forgot about my boyfriend from Alaska but then I remembered him and looked up feeling bad and I thought to myself, "He would have never done that for me, maybe I should rethink this long distance relationship deal. Ugh I'll think about relationships later I should probably just pay attention to not looking like an idiot like I just did and focus on friends and studies." The next 2 periods were a bore fest because in pe we just a test on muscles and social studies was just filled with notes because my teacher Ms.Sheryl just loves her talking and writing. Once lunch was in session I had no idea even where to look to sit. It was quite overwhelming but eventually I found a group of girls that seemed to like stuff I liked. I sat down and said, "Hi I'm Angie." "Hey Aren't you the new kid everyone is talking about?" One of the girls asked me that was wearing all black and a high pony tail with a bow in it. "People are talking about me?" I asked nervously. " Well we are just not used to new people I guess also most of the people here are really plain and look similar but you seem to stick out but in a good way." "Oh Thanks." I said shyly. I asked trying to start up a conversation, " So what kind of music do you guys like?" They all answered in unison, " I love indie!" We all started laughing after that. "What music do you like Angie?" A girl with black hair asked me. I answered, " Yeah I love indie as well" "I think we are going to become great friends" the girl with the bow said. I laughed at the fact that I made friends so easily in this school, last year I was such a loner. The whole walk home my mind was only on what happened at my locker and as I fell asleep tonight I felt more at home in this state than any other.
