Y/N POV:
"Are you sure this has to happen today? We can come back another time I'm sure. Yeah we can come back." Reed said nervously after ringing the bell "Reed relax and no we can't do it another time they want to meet you now." I said trying to reassure him "They won't like me. I'm sure they won't. You're too good for me and I'm. . . I'm Reed." he said "Reed, they'll love you if they don't then they'll just have to deal with us being together." I said fixing his hair "But what if I mess every-" I cut him off by kissing him soon he was relaxed and I pulled away. "That was because you were starting to panic." I said "Thanks." he said and breathed in and out. I smiled at his nervousness because it meant that he actually cared, and he cared a lot. Then my mother opened the door "Y/N!" she said excitedly and hugged her and pulled away "And you must be Reed! She never stops talking about you." she said and hugged him "Mom!" I groaned "Well I'm not going to lie to him! He could be my future son-in-law!" she said and walked inside, Reed and I following behind. I closed the door "Y/F/N! Y/N and her boyfriend are here!" my mom shouted "She's insane." I told Reed "No, she's not. She's wonderful." Reed said "Yeah, but you haven't lived with her for your entire life." I explained "Oh, please I'm her future son-in-law." he said and winked "We'll see how you do." I said "Should I be scared?" he asked "Maybe" I said and this time I winked.
"Y/N! How are you sweetheart." my dad said coming down the stairs "I'm well!" I said hugging him and pulled away to introduce Reed. "Dad, meet Reed he's my boyfriend, Reed meet my dad." I said "Pleasure to meet you sir." Reed said shaking my dads hand "You too." my dad said staring Reed down and clearly trying to make Reed more nervous than he already was. "Y/F/N! Don't make the poor boy more nervous!" my mom said "He shouldn't be." my dad said letting go of Reed's hand. "Everyone sit down in the kitchen, the food is ready." my mom said and her and dad went in the kitchen, leaving Reed and I in the hallway. "You have nothing to worry about." I reassured him, kissing his cheek and grabbing his hand and walking into the kitchen.
I sat down across from my parents and Reed sat next to me.
"So, Reed do you go to school with y/n?" my dad asked "I used to, but I graduated earlier. My job is very. . . rare I guess you could say." he replied "Oh, wow y/n you've found a hardworking boy!" my mom said surprised. Reed looked at my mother confused "Y/n's ex boyfriend was very and I mean very lazy." my mother explained to him. "Good to know that I am different from the rest." he said smiling at me and grabbed my hand underneath the table.
