Your chest heaved as you sprinted from the enemy's that were chasing you. Your shirt was constricting the raising of your chest but it hurt all the same. The aching in your legs added onto the pain as they pumped smashing into the ground below as you propelled forward a mile in advanced. The extra weight of the million dollars you had just stolen and the cold steel of the 9mm pistol you had held in your dominant hand restricted arm movement. Bullets whizzed past you in a group as a wall appeared in your way, swinging the duffle bag of money on a hook of the fence using your arm strength to get over into your gangs turf. You landed hard on the soles of your (f/c) sneakers.
"(Y/N) welcome back. Did you get it?" A girl with a warming smile asked. Her bangs were a sandy blond untainted by any brown or the black that took over the rest of her pixie short hair. She had many accessories to her body, such as tattoos all over her arm and on her abdomen, with piercings like snake bites, a nose ring, gages, and an eyebrow accompany. Her name was Alex Domain, she was your best friend.
"Yeah, I got the money, and their hard drive." You muttered and hauled the bag off your shoulder tossing the bag to her, which she caught with open arms, and placing your gun in the holster of your black gold-spiked belt.
"Great, always know who to count on to get the job done." She winked and turned away going off to the security bunker to get the bag check and the hard drive secured. Huffing you walked off going into the medics tent to get checked out, for any unknown trackers, or wounds that could've been received while in the enemy's base. You ducked under the cloth and into the tent that consisted of a cluttered desk with a computer resting on it and cabinets full of medical equipment, a cot resting beside it.
"Ah, come in (Y/N) (L/N) and lay down for your check up." The male motioned, his name was John Egbert. He always wore his black rimmed glasses and his dark brown hair which was shaved on one side to add to his attractive look. No arguement were required as you removed your shirt and pants laying on the cot to let him examine you for what seemed like the hundredth time. An assistant came in and took your top and shorts leaving your belt and holster, going to the gang exchange tent where they exchange clothes worn during any activity outside of the gang territory for clothes that have already been checked and approved. John continued to poke and prod your half naked checking for broken bones and finding nothing allowing you to sit patiently on the cot til the assistant came back, while he made notes on his computer.
"What did you have to retrieve this time?" John asked in a mutual voice obviously trying to break the awkward silence and since he knew you were the retrieving unit of the gang.
"The cryptic hard drive from Doc Scratches gang which contains their most important info." To the answer John sighed.
"You know (Y/N) your only (age) years old, you still have a chance to leave this horrid blood bath, and go find a suitable male."
"Thanks for the offer Doc but this is the only thing close to a home I have, I can't abandon this." You smiled wholeheartedly even if it was a closed mouth smile.
The assistant soon came with a wide shoulder to shoulder (f/c) and black shirt with black skinny jeans which were the stretchy kind. You got dressed and started to the door of the tent once your sneakers were tied.
"(Y/N) Jack would like to see you at CC immediately." John said just as you were lifting the cloth to leave. Just nodded and walked off to the Central Command tower which was located in the center of the base hiding the most important and high ranking members. The automatic doors welcomed you in and the attendant told you to just go up so you took an elevator to the top floor, the ding signaled your arrival.
"Common in kiddo, and take eh seat." Jack says in his rough tone motioning the the oak and red leather cushioned chair in front of him, which you did as told. "I called yeh up here for eh assignment. It's important so that it stays behtween us." He paused looking at you with serious eyes his scarred one giving him a murderous look.
"Yes, sir." You muttered, this was the fourth time you'd been sent up to his office, the first two were for breaking havoc on the members of the gang. The third time was to complete the mission you had just returned on. So now you were back under his gaze, which to be honest, made you feel very uncomfortable, but never the less he was like a father to you.
"The otheh gang is planning something and I need yeh to go under cover to the otheh gangs territoreh and pose as eh member there. Steal their secrets and Intel we don't have in the hard drive. Can you do et?" Jack explains quickly folding his hands together and resting them on his desk, his chin on the back of his palms.
"I'll let yeh sleep on it but radio me in the morning." He stands and tosses you a radio that you catch with ease. "You've been like a daughter to me (Y/N). I know this is the hardest mission we've sent yeh on, but you'll make the right choice." He nods to you signaling your permission to leave, which you do right back the way you came exiting Central Command and into the breezy air tucking the radio away in your pocket. Alex had been walking by and stopped waving you down as if you were a taxi. "Hey (Y/N) I'm going to get a drink at the bar you gonna come?" You were reluctant to go since all you really wanted to do was sleep and not worry about anything for while. But she was you friend and you couldn't turn her down so you went anyways. You both came to a brick building with green and yellow checkered windows with the bubbly words bar over it. Alex opened the door as the music blasted through the air letting the warmer air from the inside bite back the cold and blanket you just for a moment before the cold pushed you inside after your friend. She got two spots at the wooden bar for you both and took a seat motioning for the bartender. The bartenders name was Roxy, her hair was as blonde as Alex's bangs accompanied by a black bandanna to hold back her hair, she as well adorned piercings and tattoos.
"What can I get you two?" She asked throwing her white towel on her shoulder putting her palms on the wood to balance herself.
"Whiskey and (f/a/d)." Alex explained throwing a wink your way while Roxy prepared the drinks in front of you both sliding the selected drinks back.
-Time skip an hour ahead-
You groaned under the weight of your now boozed up and currently unconscious friend. She was muttering nothings to herself while the tips of her shoes scraped and scuffed as she was dragged to her tent and thrown onto her bed. You sat down and took the time removing her facial piercings because she always complained about them hurting her in the morning. Covered her up and exited the tent and to yours which was right next to it removing your belt onto the floor with a clink, before crawling into your own bed and throwing your forearm over your eyes to block the moon light that came in threw the flaps.
What is the right choice?
