Mal POV

"Hey E, where are we?" I asked.

"No clue. Hello, anyone there?" Evie asked next to me.

"Hello girls." Said a voice. It was Evie's mother, Evil Queen.

"Why are we on the Isle of the Lost?" I asked, putting two and two together.

"I want to train you and Evie." Evil Queen responded.

"Train us to do what?" I asked. "Win beauty pageants? How to seduce guys?"

Evil Queen sighed. "To use your powers."

"What powers Mommy?" Evie asked.

"Well, Evie, you're part mermaid, and you Mal, are part fairy."

"Really!?" I asked. "I never would've guessed that I'm part fairy, because, you know, I'm Maleficent's daughter!"

"Yeah, like I'm a mermaid. Nice try Mom." Evie said.

"It's true. I can teach you two to control your powers. And Mal, Maleficent is an evil fairy with dark magic. You have light magic that you inherited from your father."

"Yeah right!" I said. "And I'm Tinker Bell!"

"And I'm Ariel!" Evie added.

"You know that your hair isn't the color you were born with, right? Mal, your mother thought that the true color was to good. I'm willing to restore it, but you have to trust me."

"And why would I do that?" I asked.

"Because you don't have a lot of allies, and I would like to be one of the few. If you let me."

"What do we do Mal?" Evie asked me.

I said the most logical choice. "We trust her until she gives us a reason not to."

"And if she gives us a reason not to trust her?"

"Then we make a run for it back to Auradon."

"Okay. I don't like the plan, but I trust you."
