It will never be an easy path but one day it will be okay. You just have to believe but I didn't. Until one day I did, I don't know when it started but I started to believe and one day I did get better and away from all my troubles.

Recap:
" Okay but can you come I don't want to do this alone and if you leave I won't do it."
Present:
We had just gotten in the car and I had Zero on the phone.
"Yes meet me at the police station with Caleb," I say into the phone.
"Are you being serious?" Zero asks me.
"Yes Zero I'm being dead serious please just do it." I say and he agree's with no fight. We pulled up to the police station and I swallowed hard. I started to shake and I tried to move but I just couldn't.
"Skylar, you don't have to be afraid of the police they are just here to help." Andy says looking at me but I can barely hear him.
"Andy I can't do this I-I can't we need to go I can't do this," I say rushed and keep repeating that I can't do it. We are standing outside waiting for Zero and Caleb. He grabs my shoulders again and makes me look at him.
"You can do this. You will be fine you can do this Skylar, Just think it will be better for Caleb like that anyway. Better for you as well, you won't get hurt anymore." Andy says. Zero and Caleb walk up to us and I swear Zero and Caleb go into fangirl mode for about a minute. I kneel down so I'm Caleb's height.
"Caleb we are going to tell the police what goes on at home okay?" I ask him and he looks at me terrified. He starts to move backwards away from me.
"NO! SHE'S THE LAST THING WE HAVE OF DADDY!"He yells and I take a breathe so I don't burst into tears.
"Do you remember the song beaten in lips by beartooth?" I ask him and he nods his head.
"Yeah of course I do," He says and I pull my phone out and put it on. Once the end of the song came I put my phone away.
"Caleb we need to tell them because if we don't something really bad could happen to us." I say and he looks like I'm starting to convince him.
"Caleb I lost a friend because she thought that she could last one more year in a house like yours. Let me tell you it is so much easier to tell the police then to deal with it yourself please trust me." Andy says coming over to us so he is right in front of us. Caleb looks like he needs one more push so Zero jumps in.
"Hey buddy remember when I used to tell you that one day things would be fine, well today would be the first step towards that you have to believe us." Zero says and Caleb nods hishead and we go inside. When we go inside Andy and Zero walk Caleb and I to the front desk and they talk to the woman there. She got two police officers and they went to lead em to one of the rooms and I looked at Andy terrified. Andy walked right over to me and leaned down to look me right in the face.
"You need to tell them the truth and you can't hide it. There is no reason to be afraid Skylar these people are on your side not on her side you need to trust them like you trusted me." Andy said but it was really hard for me to understand him. He looks back up again and looks at one of the officers that was trying to check if I was okay.
"She doesn't want to be in there alone is it alright if I just sit in there I won't talk but I do know all of it." Andy said and they nodded hesitatly but they nodded. Andy looked at Zero.
"When Caleb goes to be questioned go in with him." Andy says and Zero nods. Andy walks down a couple of halls leading me to a room where the officers stoppped. I had sat down with Andy right next to me. I looked at him terrified again.
"Miss where did you get those bruises?" The one officer asks me and I look at Andy and he nods his head to tell them the truth. I took a breathe and looked at them.
"When I was twelve my, father committed suicide, my mother comes home drunk and high and she hits me and my brother Caleb. She has only ever hit Caleb but to me she's done worse. She won't let me eat. If I went to eat she would tell me she would kill Caleb the longest I went without eating was 6 days. She used to sell my body to her drug dealers cause money wasn't enough when I was 12 - 15. Caleb only knows that she hits us, other than that he doesn't know anything. I am 17 now and he 12 and I don't want us to go into foster care. I don't want to be seperated from him please don't seperate us." I said and Andy looked at me shocked and when the tears started coming I couldn't stop them.
The officers nodded their heads and asked one more question for me.
"What is your mothers name?"
"Melissa Yeager." I whisper and they leave the room and I start to sob. I never wanted her to get into trouble. I justed wanted my mom and dad back but no, life wasn't ever going to be easy was it?
