lee chan's pov
Waking up the next morning, I felt dizzy and nauseous. My mother came into my room after knocking, a tray in her hands. Without looking what was on top of it, I knew it was a bowl of soup and few pills for my fever.
I looked at the clock hung over my door. It was 06:12AM. I sat up on my bed and took the metallic tray out my mother's hands. It almost slipped off my hands and she let out a yelp. I chuckled when she put a hand on her forehead, wiping away sweat... If you know what I mean.
I took the pills with the rice soup, not really wanting to take the disgusting taste. Then, few minutes later, once I was done with the soup, I gave the tray back to my mother and stood up to prepare for school.

My head hurt and everyone seemed to be louder than they usually were. Minhyuk was quiet, fortunately, because he was busy texting his little girlfriend... He didn't even notice I stole his pudding. After a few bites, I stopped, feeling like I was about to regret eating it in the first place.
My eyes suddenly fell on a familiar figure, and I quickly looked away when I saw she was also looking in my direction. I felt my heart skip a beat. I didn't know if it was because of my fever or... something else.
I looked at the watch around my left wrist. It was 12:03PM. There were 27 minutes left before lunch time ended. I stood up and my friend looked at me with a confused expression on his face. "I'll go now." He simply nodded and went back to texting Haneul.
I took my tray, which was still full, and walked to the exit. I put the metallic plate on the dishes counter and went out. It was pleasantly silent and calm in the hall. Only few person left the cafeteria during lunch time. I turned on the right, and everything went black.
