Chapter 1

Demi's POV

It's about 9:00 o'clock in the morning. I slowly wake up, rub my eyes and peer at the sunlight peaking through the window blinds. I turn around to see if Nick was awake. Today was Nick and I's 11 month anniversary. He was still sleeping, so I decided to shower him with kisses. I kiss his neck and forehead, as he slowly starts to open his eyes. He smiles at me and grabs my face.

" Happy 11 months babe. I love you." He kisses me on the lips and pulls me on top of him.

Nick was the best thing that has ever happened to me. He has always been there for me, and he makes me happier than ever.

"I can't believe its been 11 months babe. I still remember the first time I met you on the set of Camp Rock." He wraps his arms around me and chuckles.

He then runs his fingers through my freshly dyed blonde hair with pink dip dyed ends.

"You were so cute, even cuter now." he says.

"We got to go to the adoption centre soon we promised them we would be there for 12:30 babe."

Me and Nick decided for our 11 month anniversary we would go to the local orphanage and spend some time with the children. Put a smile on their cute little faces!

Destiny's POV

     "Everybody come to the living room, our special guests are coming soon!"

I do my hair and put on all my makeup. Our foster mom never told us who these special guest were, but it can't be anyone to important. I have been in this foster home since the age of 6 and now I am 13. Nothing good ever happens in this place.

My mom gave me up for adoption because she was too young to take care of me; and the rest of my stupid family was either dead, sick or just plain mental. I was not that much different from them i guess.. I cut. You see, from all that has happened in my life, thats what I turned to unfortunately. The longest I have been clean was 3 weeks. From the help of Demi Lovato. I saved up every penny I found on the ground to buy this book, and I couldn't be happier.

"Come on Destiny, they are going to be here any moment!" Yell's Liz.

Liz is my one and only best friend. I love her so much. If i was ever to be adopted I would miss her like crazy.

Liz yanks my wrist trying to pry me off the chair. "Stop it Liz, I decided I'm going to stay in here and read a chapter of Staying Strong and listen to some music. There's no one that worthy of seeing anyways. When they leave come and tell me how it goes.

      "Liz sighs " Suit yourself girly" and she skips off to the living room to wait for the so called "special guest" that was supposed to come.

Demi's POV
     Me and nick get out out car and proceed to the home. It look very old, kind of run down. As we knock on the door we heard all the screaming go to dead silence.

The owner opens the door and greets us with a smile. "Good morning Ms.Lovato and Mr. Jonas, the children are this way." The lady leads us to a room with about 15-20 boys and girls. All the kids start running up to us and showering us with love.
