"Wow. Thanks everyone." Ray smiled and took Niko into his arms.

"And thank you my little cutie." Ray placed a passion filled kiss on her lips.

"Here." Niko handed him a big box with a giant bow on it.

"It's not gonna explode is it?" he narrowed his eyes a little.

"No. It's from the twins." she smiled. Ray opened it and was surprised by the three airsoft guns.

"Happy birthday Ray!" they jumped on him and hugged him.

"Aw you guys are too adorable!" he drowned their faces in kisses before they got up and squealed, "Poison kisses! Yuck!" all over the house.

"This is from Leo." she handed him an envelope.

"It's your birthday? Congratulations, you're a year closer to a senior center." everyone laughed as he read it out loud.

"Champion, come here!" Niko called. At that moment, a tiny ball of fur with a big red bow ran into the room and licked Ray's exposed leg.

"Her name is Champion. I hope you like her. I picked her out." Niko smiled and picked up the small Pit-bull puppy.

"Babe, she's perfect. Who's a good widdle girl? You are. Yes you are." Ray took her and kissed her little nose. Champion responded by sneezing in his face.

"You can rename her if you want." she said.

"No. She's a champion pup. Nice choice." Ray scratched at her little tummy.

"And Ray, we need to talk." Niko told him. He got up and followed her out of the room.

"What is it?" he asked.

"I'm leaving in three days. For the army." she was blunt. Niko wiped a tear from his eye.

"You c-can't! Not s-so soon! Please don't g-go!" he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and sobbed.

"I would have told you sooner but you were in a gloomy mood. And I have to go. I signed up. I got in. So I'm seeing this through to the end." she said sternly. Niko sighed and shook her head. Ray's sobbing had died down and he got up.

"Niko, I'm sorry I cried like a baby. I just... I don't want to lose you." Ray reached into his back pocket and grasped the small black velvet box.

"Ray, you know I love you. And you know I plan on coming back. This first round is only to see which base I'll be qualified to go to." she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. He kissed her and pulled out the box.

"Let's go back." she was about to leave when he pulled her arm.

"Wait," his voice was louder than he had wanted.

"Yes?" she turned. Ray kneeled down.

"I bought a promise ring. Because I promise you my heart and my love for as long as you wish." he placed the ruby ring on her finger with ease and kissed her.

"Oh Ray! I'll always love you." she hugged him tighter and they fell. Niko planted kisses all over his face as she was on him.

"Is now a bad time?" Leo stood in the doorway. Ray jerked his body to be on her.

"Yes. Now is a bad time." to avoid further conversation, he kissed Niko fully in front of Leo and gently began to grind his hips with hers. Leo shook his head before leaving and taking the people downstairs.

"Niko I still want you so bad," he murmured against her neck.

"Not without a condom." she said. He groaned.
