After Bill's disappearance, you buried yourself under the sheets of your bed, hugging the thin pillow to your body like it was a life preserver. His words echoed over and over in your mind. Could you stay here forever just to make him happy? Was it worth it to you?

You didn't know the answer.

Gripping the sheets tighter, you squeezed your lids shut to try and stop the flow of tears from escaping. You cared deeply for Bill, honestly and truly you did. In the short time you had to get to know the real him, he'd left his mark on your heart.

Suddenly, the blankets were ripped from your grip, eliciting a terrified squeal from your throat.

"Ah, fucking screw it!!!" Bill released a guttural growl, hopping onto the bed and pinning you under his monstrous strength.

Droplets of salty tears had sprung to your eyes, your surprise having released them to streak down your reddened cheeks.

"Bill?!" you squeaked, squirming nervously in his grip. "What are you-?"

He cut you off almost immediately with a gloved finger to your lips. "Just shut the fuck up, ok?"

With a widened stare, you nodded obediently out of fear.

He released a disgusted sigh, as if he couldn't believe himself, and snatched your chin in his fingertips. Pinching your skin in one hand, he used the other to inch his bangs aside revealing an entirely normal and completely human eye. In the corner of its lid, a single tear glistened in the dim light.

"Do you see that? YOU did that, Sweetheart. You're sp-" he gagged, letting his hair flop back into place. "You're spec-" he gagged again then heaved a large puff of air.

Sitting back, he removed both gloves, cracked his knuckles, and breathed in again.

"God, it shouldn't be this hard to say crap like that!"

You gave him a sly smile and giggled, "What are you trying to say, Tophat?"

He stared down at you, a gasp leaving his lips before curling into a childish smirk.

"Fine," he grumbled, "if you're gonna be like that then I won't say anything!"

You rolled your eyes playfully, amused at how much of a spoiled rotten kid he could be. Slowly, you lifted a fingertip and booped him on the nose.

A look of surprise covered his features as he tried to hide his blushing cheeks with bare palms.

"It's ok," you flashed him a patient smile. "You don't have to say anything. I get it."

"(Y/n)..."

All of a sudden, he grabbed you tightly, desperation fueling his actions.

"(Y/n)!

Stay with me.

Please."

The longing in his voice confused you until there was a deafening explosion outside and you finally understood what was going on.

The door was blasted from its hinges, clattering to the floor with a series of snaps and cracks.

"Let her go, Cipher!" Dipper growled from the doorway, a piercing red amulet held firmly in his grasp.

Bill's eyes seemed to bulge out of his skull as he stared down the object, pure terror rendering his body useless.

"N-no!" he struggled to shake his head as Dipper edged closer, the light of the gem pulsating eerily. "I won't. She's mine.

Sh-she's mine!"

He staggered to the ground and held his arms out protectively, the appendages shivering with the effort. Weak, cobalt flames flickered in his palms. Their faint glow hardly posed a threat but it warmed your soul, feeding you the energy you needed to take action.

Dipper was close, holding the gem at arms length now. It's light bounced off his dark eyes and casted an unearthly glow that sent chills travelling down your spine.

Bill's knees began to tremble, not from fear, but because he was losing life. You watched in horror as it drained from his skin, leaving a ghostly hue behind.

"Ok, (y/n)!" Dipper called to you but you were too focused on the shard in his hand as it hovered dangerously close. "Come on! We can leave now!"

"Dip," you rose to your feet, your voice barely above a whisper, "Don't."

He went rigid, a look of utter betrayal masking his face. The strange glint, sparkling in his orbs concerned you. It had never been there before. Usually only Bill had it. You recognized it well, the look of going mad with power.

"Please," you continued gently while creeping towards him as carefully as possible. "Stop it. This isn't you!"

He blinked a few times, as if he couldn't focus right then shook his head.

"N-no," he muttered low and dangerous, beginning to circle around you. "That demon stole you away. He has to pay." There was something cat like about him as he reared back, preparing to pounce.

You grabbed his shoulders, forcing him to meet your gaze and held it firmly. Desperately you searched for a glimmer of the Dipper you once knew but he was gone. Soulless, black voids peered back, swirling with clouds of rage and vengeance. His chaste lips curled into a wicked smirk, surprising you long enough to let him tear past you, lunging for the huddled form of Bill.

"NO!!!" you screamed, furiously throwing yourself at the boy you could no longer call a friend.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" he screeched as the two of you toppled to the floor with a crash.

Bill watched helplessly as you scrapped on the cracked wood, clawing and kicking erratically. You knew you could never overpower him so you prayed to whatever god was out there that you could at least knock away that damn amulet.

"(Y/N)!!! WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING THAT FUCKING MONSTER?!" he yelled, holding fast to the gem and using his strong arms to block your punches.

Tears poured from your eyes as you threw swing after swing, unable to make yourself stop these useless attempts.

"He's not a monster!

He's not!

He's not!"

Gradually your fight died down as Dipper began to overpower you, flipping you on your back and straddling your legs with his knees.

"Stop fighting me," he spoke plainly, emotion devoid from his expression.

You wiggled and writhed with all your might but it was no use. He held you down with little to no effort at all.

"He's not..." you kept on though ugly sniffles and sobs ripped from your throat, "...not a monster! He's not..."

Dipper shook his head sadly as if he felt sorry for you. A dry grin spread across his face.

"You're delusional," he assured. "That demon's got you tricked, (y/n)."

"No, Dip, he only fooled YOU!"

Grabbing the collar of his jacket, you yanked him down, crashing his lips into yours. He kissed back instantly, almost hungrily, his tongue greedily shoving its way in. He devoured you, pressing himself firmly between your legs. His moves were as sure and determined as yours.

CRACK!

He stopped abruptly, pulling away and examining the broken shards that now cut into his skin, slick blood pouring between them.

"And now I've deceived you, too."
