~The next day, Lexi~

 

"Why are you in my room?"

 

Noah sighed "Just go back to bed Lexi."

"No!" I shook my head "You can't just barge into my room and expect me to just go to sleep and forget that!"

Noah rolled his eyes "It's MY house and this is MY guest room. I can do whatever the hell I want. Honestly it's too late in the night to deal with this crap, I need to go."

"Where are you going?" I asked softly grabbing Noah's arm.

He shook off my hold "It's none of your business, besides aren't you supposed to be mad at me."

"I am." I replied placing my hands on my hips "But I'm not going to let you go out alone Noah. I want to come with you."

 

Noah sighed before he smiled at me “Alright Lexi. You can come with me.”

No I couldn’t and didn’t and all because of him I will become the undead going to school this morning. I had bags under my eyes and all I wanted to do was sleep.

That daydream was the only thing keeping me sane, it helped me get at least 10 minutes of sleep before that stupid raccoon (an animal humans have on Earth) decided to climb onto the windowsill, MY windowsill and coo at me.

I almost cried when Mrs. Finley came into my room and told me that it was time for school. I groaned standing up, lying in bed and waiting for the time to pass by wasn’t going to help me at all. I changed into some jeans and a sweater and just put my hair in a ponytail, I was too lazy for the whole different hair styles.

Once my teeth were brushed and I felt like I wasn’t going to pass out in class I left my room and went downstairs for some breakfast. To my surprise it was a full house, or should I say full kitchen. Mr. Finley wasn’t in his office as usual instead he was dining at the table eating toast while Noah sat across from him drink orange juice out of the carton (eww) and Mrs. Finley was making more breakfast.

I felt a little weird seeing Noah again after that spat we had last night but when have I ever not?

“Good morning Lexi!” Mrs. Finley smiled pushing me down into the seat next to Noah. She put a plate of eggs, toast and bacon in front of me. Mrs. Finley frowned at Noah “Lucas, put that damn orange juice carton down!”

Noah sighed before he placed it down from his mouth. Mrs. Finley smiled “Thank you.” She said before she grabbed the carton and poured it into a cup for me.

Um call me a germ freak but I have no idea what kind of sicknesses humans carry, let alone a human like Noah Finley.

“Um thanks Mrs. Finley.” I murmured before I took a bite of my eggs.
