Chapter 1

The day started like any other. Blue skies, kids playing in the grass, people laughing. I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast when Justin walked in. "Hey Hun, what are you doing today?" I replied,"Don't tell me you forgot!" "Uh-oh, I'm in trouble aren't I?" "No, it's just that we were supposed to spend the day together. This is my only day off for a while. You'll barely get to see me." "Oh, that's right! I'm sorry, I totally forgot. I got a call this morning saying I had to go finish filming." I didn't want him to sense my disappointment so I just sucked it up and said that I would see him later. "Love you, babe," he said.

Later that day, I got a phone call. It was from a blocked number, so I didn't answer it. But the person on the other end wouldn't give up so finally I answered. "Hello." The other end of the line was silent, then suddenly," JEN, help! Help me." I heard a loud cracking sound and the phone call ended. I started to panic. What should I do? I don't know who that was! All I know is that Justin is in trouble! I called the police and told them what had happened. They said they would be over as fast as they could. About ten minutes later, a knock at the door sounded. "Police. Open up." "Yes, hi." "Ma'am what's the problem?" "I was just watching TV when all of the sudden I got a bunch of blocked calls. I usually don't answer, but around the 10th time they called I did. All I could hear was my fiancé screaming for me to help, and then a loud cracking sound! Please help!," I cried hysterically. "Okay, okay. We are able to track the numbers location. It's located at a warehouse in an isolated part of the city. You stay here and we will call you when we get more information," the policeman said reassuringly. However, as soon as he took off down the street with sirens blaring, I quickly took after him. There was absolutely no way I was going to stay there when the love of my life was in danger.
