I tossed my phone onto my bed. I had been dumped, out of the blue. My boyfriend, Chad, and I had been dating for 2 years, and things were going great, until about an hour ago when he called and said that he wanted to break up. I sat in my room breathing in sobs as I tried to come to terms with the phone call I had just had.
The sobs were beginning to slow when I heard my roommate storming down the hall. I looked into my mirror and wiped away the mascara that had run down my face before going to the kitchen to check on her.
"What a jerk." Cori, my roommate, stated.
"How did you-"
"I was about to come into your room when that jerk face called, so I eavesdropped. I can't believe that guy, and believe me I'm going to his house tomorrow. But right now I'm focused on making you feel better, which means we are getting ice cream." As she said this she pushed passed me, went to the hall closet, grabbed my favorite sweater and threw it in my face. "Get in the car."
I knew it was useless to argue so I obeyed. She jumped into the drivers seat of my truck and pulled out of our garage. As we drove down the highway she started with questions.
"What did he say? Was he mean? How could he do this after two years?!"
"I don't want to talk about it," I lied. I did want to talk about it but I knew it would make me cry, and I hated crying.
"Yes you do, I know you better than that. You just don't want to cry because you don't want to look weak. I know you Brit, and I don't care. Now talk."
I sighed heavily, "He basically just said that he doesn't love me anymore. He feels like things weren't working and that we didn't have any chemistry anymore."
"But you said, just yesterday, that things were still as great as they were on your first date."
"They were, for me at least. I guess they weren't for him." I looked out the window at the cars passing by. It had begun to rain. I loved the rain. My eye caught the post office. "Shoot! I haven't gotten my mail, could we swing by the post office?"
"Sure," Cori said as she pulled off the highway and into the post office parking lot.
I sprinted inside and shoved my key into my box. There was nothing but one hand addressed envelope. I slid it into my purse and splashed back to the truck.
"Hey, Britain, how about Jamba Juice instead of ice cream," offered Cori. She probably only mentioned it because she knew that my favorite YouTuber of all time often went there, but I didn't care. A chance that I might see him, small though it may be, drew me there almost daily.
I was a little obsessed with Toby Turner, more commonly known as Tobuscus. Okay, I was really obsessed with Toby. I didn't go a day without watching his videos and checking his channels. I followed him on every social network, not to mention the fan accounts. I had also tweeted at him more times than i cared to admit.... I just really liked him...a lot.

We walked into Jamba Juice and after ordering our drinks, we sat down. I glanced around and as usual, no Toby. I was used to it, though. I mumbled something about the restroom and shuffled off to fix my makeup.
When I looked in the mirror, my eyes were red and puffy. They reminded me of Chad. I had been so happy. How could he just dump me out of nowhere? I could feel tears welling up inside me. I tried to push them back but as I stared at myself in the mirror I couldn't hold them back and they began to flow down my cheeks. My breaths became short, thick sobs and although I tried to be quiet, every few seconds a moan would escape from my lungs. There was a knock on the door. It was Cori.
