"Students, please. Take a seat, we have many things to go over." my teacher instructed. I could already tell he was boring. "Let's take roll." he announced. I thought about the kid who was staring at me, he was kind of cute to be honest. I haven't seen him around before which is unusual since there's only 200 people in my grade, and I know pretty much all of them. It's not like I would have a chance with him or anything. I was me.

My boring teacher began taking roll. Everytime he called out a name I would think of a memory I had of that person. "Stacey Welsh?" he announced. Wow, that sure brought back a lot of memories. Stacey used to be my best friend all through elementary school. We drifted apart in Middle School and she became popular while I became a nobody. Things stayed that way. "Here!" she announced in her perky, annoying voice. She was so fake. He was finally finished up the last few names.

"Raina Evans?" he called my name. Everyone turned to me for some reason. "Here." I said in a low whisper. Bryan, one of the jocks started laughing at me, while his stupid little posse joined in. People are so rude. "Is there anyone who wasn't called?" he asked the class.

"New kid wasn't called." Bryan announced. He pointed over at the guy I had seen in the hallway. That explains it. I knew I hadn't seen him before. "His name is Jonah Green." Bryan added. He held out his fist to Jonah as they did a weird handshake. So he was friends with Bryan? That's a shame.

"Oh yes, we have a new student." my teacher smiled. "Welcome to our school, Jonah." he added. He started to teach about boring things as I wandered off in my mind. Why was this Jonah kid here? Why was he friends with Bryan? Was he on the football team, maybe? Next thing I know, I was staring right at Jonah as my teacher was calling my name. "Raina? Hello?" my teacher waved a hand in front of my face, causing my cheeks to flush.

"W-what?" I stuttered as Bryan yelled out something crazy embarressing.

"Looks like Raina has a thing for Jonah. Only in her dreams." Bryan laughed. Everyone else in the class was chuckling except for one person. Jonah. He was studying my face. Which made me feel really awkward. When he noticed I saw what he was doing, he looked away. What the heck? Was he studying all my flaws? Or was he just looking at me?

"Bryan, shush. We have far more important things to do. Let me just write Jonah onto the list." he announced.

After that we just went over stupid information for our stupid test next stupid week. I wasn't really listening. I pretty much never needed to study that much to get an A. I guess I was just lucky. Finally, after a long 45 minutes, the bell rang. Everyone sprinted out of their seats to get to their next class. People are such animals. I grabbed my school bag and headed for the door.

"R-Raina?" I heard a voice call. I turned around to see it was Jonah.

"Oh.... hey. Whats up?" I forced a smile.

"Listen, don't pay attention to Bryan. He can be a jerk sometimes, he probably doesn't mean it." he told me.

"Trust me, I know he's a jerk." I rolled my eyes and went to my next class. How does he know that Bryan didn't mean it? Bryan was the biggest jerk in the school.
