Endings

(Brook's Point of View)

I go home to find Micaiah sitting on the couch watching T.V., but the T.V wasn't on. So she was just sitting there staring at the T.V. It wasn't the fact that the T.V. wasn't on that bugging me, it was the way she looked. It was mixture sadness, emptiness and emotionless. All emotions that I didn't even know she had. I've only known her as a happy perky person. I was just standing there staring at her wondering what was wrong until she noticed me. "Oh hey Brook" was all she said. She didn't even sound happy to see me. So I decide to sit on the couch next to her. "What wrong?" I ask her sympathetically. "Nothing" she says. "Micaiah, I know something is wrong." I say "you look like they stopped making waffles and Canada no longer exists." I say jokingly. At least I got half a smile from that. "Brook" she starts "I need to tell you something. Well, I need to tell a lot of people something. Well not  a lot of people something-" I could tell she was stalling. "What" I hope I didn't sound rude "Brooklyn" she sounds really upset. "Kian" she starts.
Oh no! Kian what happened?!?!?! "Kian's... Kian's gone" I could see her start to tear up (from eye sweat) as she said it. "Wait, what do you mean?" I ask her. I know she means that he died, but I just couldn't believe it. "I mean, Kian died" In my mind I'm just trying to process every that she said. "How do you know?" I ask.
"Well, noticed that Kian's heart monitor wasn't pugged in, so that means that the beeping was set. And when I was l saw that nurse filling out a paper for a dead person whose name was Kian Lawley. So unless there is another Kian Robert Lawley in that hospital, Kian died." That last part was sarcastic, I could tell she was getting back to her old self. "So we're the only ones that know. Ya know besides the nurses and stuff?" I ask her. "No actually all the guys know and everyone in Canada and Italy too." "So I'm gonna take that as I yes." We both start laughing. "You know we have to tell the guys right?" I say sounding more serious. She doesn't say anything, she just nods and looks down.

Now as I'm sitting here next to Micaiah looking at Kian's coffin, I think back to all the great times we all has together.
