Y/N's POV
"Hey there lady-bloggers! Alya here with the scoop of the day! I'm one step closer to finding out ladybug's secret identity!" The hazel eyed girl spoke on her blog.
A soft sigh pushed past my lips as I watched Alya pull out a history textbook.
"Now you've might've seen this in one of my previous videos but I've found it again along with some handwriting for ladybug-"
"Y/N?" a voice said from behind me.
I quickly changed the tab back to my French history assignment and turned to face my mother.
"How's the assignment coming along?" She asked.
Stressful. "Uh, it's going along great, mom." I lied.
A soft smile was set on my mother's lips as she extended a bowl to me containing strawberries and cherries. I nodded a thank you to her before she turned around and walked towards the door, "Let me know if you need or want anything else." She spoke before she closed the door behind her.
I wished I could focus on this assignment but my mind was on something else. Ladybug and Cat Noir. To be honest, I want nothing more than to be one of them, sailing through the city of Paris, fighting akumatized villains left and right. Ever since last year when Ladybug and Cat Noir were discovered, I've dreamed of being a superheroine. Well me and probably everyone else in Paris.
Thump. My head shot over to my balcony's door at the sound. It sounded as if something was pushed over. I sat in silence for a moment, listening for the sound again, but it never came. I shook my head thinking it was nothing and popped a cherry into my mouth when I heard it again. Thump . I turned my head to the glass doors again, placing my fruit bowl on my desk. Cautiously I walked the doors, opening them. Almost instantly I was greeted with the cold wind like a slap to the face. Shivering, I stepped outside tugging my sweatshirt closer to me for warmth.
"Hello?" I called out, looking around my seemingly empty patio.
No response. I swallowed hard looking out the darker corners of my patio, "Whoever's there I know martial arts!" I threatened.
Okay that was partially a lie. I signed up for martials and attended the class, but I almost died doing a spinning jump kick so I stopped. I heard something shatter behind me making me jump out of my skin and whirl around. I quickly grabbed the thing nearest to me which happened to be a gardening rake and got into an attack position. Then, slowly, out of the darkness of the shadows came - a cat. I let out a sigh dropping my "weapon". I instantly recognized my neighbors cat.
"Oh my god Princeton you gave me a heart-attack." I said picking up the fluffy white cat, stroking his fur as he cuddled into me.
He purred as he relaxed against me. A smile spread on my lips as I sat down on the cushioned bench against the wall. Princeton curled in my lap as I looked up at the stars in the night sky. Billions of tiny luminous dots line the pitch black sky like polka-dots. The moon hung low and full in the sky right behind the Eiffel Tower, which was glowing with golden lights. In other words, it was a beautiful scene.
Suddenly a white light began to stretch across the sky. A shooting star. I felt a sudden rush go through me, mixed with excitement and satisfaction. I closed my eyes and wished for the only thing my heart longed for, and that was to fight alongside Ladybug and Cat Noir. A sigh of contentment left my lips as I opened my eyes and looked back up at the sky. The shooting star seemed to wink at me before it disappeared into the night. A soft purring sound was heard from Princeton as he slept in my lap. I chuckled slightly, growing tired myself, stretching out my arms and legs with a groan. Gently, I picked up the white feline and placed him next to me on the bench.
I stood from the bench rubbing my eyes as I did so. I looked up into the sky a final time with a sigh before I made my way inside, getting ready for bed.
🐞
"Y/N, get up your alarm has been going off for 10 minutes now!" My mother yelled jolting me from my sleep.
With a groan, I reached over from under the pillow I used to cover my ears and grabbed my phone, turning off the alarm. Once the dreaded beeping went off I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I rolled back over and snuggled back up into my warm bed. Within seconds, my body was over-taken by fatigue and I began to drift off to sleep again.
"Y/N DON'T MAKE ME GET THE BUCKET-"
"OKAY, OKAY MOM I'M UP!" I yelled throwing the covers off of me and finally getting ready for school.
French and Literature seemed to drag on for hours on end. I was feeling really sleep deprived since I had stayed up until 4am to finish that stupid French History assignment. By the time I finished my assignment I was surprised I had even made it to my bed from how tired I was."Y/N!" Mrs. Bustier shouted at me from the front of the class.
I jolted up from dozing off and let out a yelp of surprise. Suddenly all eyes in the class were on me, showing looks of confusion as to why Mrs. Bustier lashed out at me.
"If you're going to go to sleep in my class you can do it in the Headmaster's office, not while I'm teaching." She spoke to me.
I nodded my head yes, "Yes ma'am." I mumbled lowering my head.
Mrs. Bustier turned around about to continue her lesson, but she was cut off by the bell. Kids hurriedly grabbed their things and put it into their backpacks and rushed out of the classroom.
"We'll continue presentations tomorrow, remember to study for the test Friday!" Mrs. Bustier yelled to the all of us as we left.

Author's Note: (Honestly that was kind of an awkward place to cut off the first chapter but oh whale.) Hey guys this is my first story on Miraculous Ladybug and I have a lot of ideas for this story so it might be changing a lot. That, and I always find myself editing something and changing it. I hope you enjoyed this chapter even though it's short, but I promise that the next chapter will be longer.
