I feel as if I needed to say this, this story is still currently in the making and will have a lot of typos and slightly rushed scenes so that I can go back later and re-edit everything. That includes the imagery that appears at the top of the screen at the beginning of the chapter.
I swear, classes could not be any slower today. It felt as if every single class was a year long and I was slowly rotting from the inside out. I had two tests today, a new partner project assigned in Chemistry, an essay to write and the thought of Chloe's party on my mind all day. But finally, after about two hundred fifty-thousand time checks, I was finally free of this prison.
I stepped into the first floor bathroom with a small sigh. As soon as the door closed behind me, Sabii flew out of my shoulder bag. I watched her fly pass the empty stalls to check if anyone was here. While she did that, I went up to the sink to splash some cold water on my face to wake myself up.
"Wow so that's what school's like, huh?" Sabii asked flying into my vision.
I nodded my head as I dried my face off with a paper towel, "Sometimes it's worse than that though."
Sabii sat on the faucet and looked up at me, "That Chloé girl is real jerk isn't she?"
I laughed bitterly as I threw the towel into the trash, "That was nothing, she gets ruder throughout the week." I said to the small creature as I walked back to the sink.
"I already don't like her and out of all my years of being a kwami, I've never heard of anyone named Chloé, so she was obviously lying about knowing Tigress."
"I know she was lying, she does that a lot. Trust me you don't want to meet her either. Trust me on-"
Suddenly the bathroom door flew open, startling me. Sabii flew off the faucet and dipped back into my bag. I held my bag close to me and directed my attention back to the door. Alya and Marinette were walking in, engaged in a conversation. A small sigh of relief pushed escaped my lips knowing that they didn't hear me talking to "myself".
Alya took notice of me and shot me a smile, "Hey girl, we were just looking for you!"
"Really? Why?" I questioned, leaning against the counter.
Marinette approached me me with a grin on her face, "Because~" She said in a sing-song tone. "We wanted to know if you wanted to come over so we can get ready for the party."
I nodded my head slowly, muttering an 'oh' under my breath. Marinette was fashion designer so she could make or find some amazing clothes for us to wear. "I'd have to ask my parents, but I'm down for anything really."
"Fantastic!" Marinette cheered. "Is it possible for you to call now so that we can get started as soon as possible?"
"Sure give me a second."
ONE PHONE CONVERSATION LATER
"This is amazing! We have to leave now if we want to look our best for tonight!" Alya squealed, grabbing my arm and pulling me forward.
Long story short, my parents agreed to letting me go to Marinette's as long as I'm okay with staying up late to do homework. Chances are I'll probably fall asleep during it anyway. It didn't matter though, it was Friday and that meant I had all weekend to do it. Which really means I'll procrastinate until the very last minute to do it.
Marinette, Alya and I left the school and headed over to Marinette's place. I've never really noticed how close Marinette lived to the school because within a matter of minutes we were at her house. The doors of her family's bakery chimed as we walked in. The shop had a sweet aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies which filled my nostrils. That rich, buttery, scent of melted semi-sweet chocolate, with a hint of vanilla made my mouth water with need.
