(Aquantis' POV)
The reception started since the ceremony went by pretty quickly. I was standing next to Valerie as we both had our drinks and we watched everyone at the party dancing, smiling and greeting each other. I looked around a bit and saw the boys coming over to join us. I nudged Valerie's side and gestured towards the boys. "Hey Val, your lover-boy is coming." I said while smirking.

"T-that doesn't bother me anymore."

"Oh yeah? What's with the tomato cheeks then?" I said after I noticed her face heat up.

"Shut up." I heard her mutter once the boys were in hearing range. I smiled innocently and turned to greet the boys. "Hey guys!"

"Hey." They both said. Valerie playfully glared at me and she tugged on Cubby's arm. "Hey, can we go somewhere?" I heard her ask.

"Yeah sure," he faced Scooter and I before they both left. "We'll see you guys around."

"Alright." I heard Scooter answer. Valerie stuck out her tongue at me and I just laughed as they walked away. "What was that about?" I heard from beside me.

"Nothing, I was just teasing Valerie."

"Hmmm, do you wanna dance with me?"

"Huh? Um... no thanks."

"Aww, why not?"

"I...um...I can't...dance." I muttered as I looked away from him. I felt a hand grab mine and I looked up to see a reassuring smile on his face. "It's alright, I'll teach you how."

"Fine." He pulled me to the dance floor where other people were dancing to the slow song. He stopped at a spot with some space and he stood in front of me. "So what do I do?" I questioned.

"Alright, place one arm on top of mine and the other will hold my open hand." I did as he said and looked at him again for the next step. "What's next?"

"Well, you take a step forward while I take a step back and it just sort of goes back and forth from there." I nodded and we both started moving, I kept my gaze on our feet and I slowly started to smile as I hadn't messed up. I looked up, my smile still upon my face, and lightly giggled. "I'm doing it and I'm not messing up."

"Well, it isn't that hard." He said while smirking at me. I playfully pushed his shoulder as I muttered a 'shut up' at him.

"Just kidding, I'm sorry. " He grabbed my hips and pulled me closer towards him. He smiled down at me and I just shook my head at him and put my arms around his neck as we danced.

We both stopped after a while and went to the table we were assigned to sit at. We both were sitting down and snacking on some of the food they had. "Hey Aquantis, I'll be back."

"Alright, I'll be here." He walked away and I looked around again until I heard a familiar voice. "Aquantis?" I turned around and saw him.

"Colton? What are you doing here?"

"I was invited...I miss you."

"No you don't, if you did you wouldn't have done what you did."

"Look I didn't mean i-"

"That's a load of crap. You meant every single thing, I heard what you said to her."

"Aquantis, I-"

"Just leave me alone." I quickly ran out the back door and away from him.

(Scooter's POV)
I walked out of the men's room and made my way back to the table. I saw a guy standing there and he seemed to be in deep thought. "Uh, hey man, did you see where the girl went?" He turned around when he heard my voice.

"Why do you want to know? Are you her new boyfriend?"

"What? I-"

"Colton? What the hell are you doing here?" I turned and saw Valerie glaring at him.

"I was invited and I saw Aquantis and tried to talk to her." Colton said while turning towards Valerie.

"Well, she's over you, okay? So, leave her alone."

"Why? I still love her and I want her back."

"Well, she doesn't want you anymore. You can't just immediately assume she'd want you back, not after what you did to her."

"Ugh.. whatever.."He walked away and I turned to Valerie who was still fuming and Cubby trying to comfort her. I walked closer and got her attention. "Hey, was that..?"

"Aquantis' ex? Yeah, he's a douche."

"By the way, where is Aquantis?" I heard Cubby ask.

"I'll go look for her." I said quickly. They both looked at me and nodded. I walked out the back door into the night air and walked around looking for her. I looked around the whole area and I was starting to give up until I saw a figure leaning against the cemented railing. I stopped and looked at her as her dress moved slightly with the breeze. I walked slowly over to her and stood beside her and looked at the stars that were filling the sky. "It's a beautiful night, isn't it?" I said then looked over to her.

"Yeah."

"So..um..I know the guy back there was your..uh ex. Did he do anything to you while I was gone?"

"No, he just pissed me off." I sighed a bit from relief and glanced at her to see tears falling from her eyes. "Aquantis?"

"I-it still hurts.."

"Wait? Is this why you were upset the other night? Valerie accidentally brought him up and it upset you."

"I just want to f-forget." Her sobs became a little louder and I pulled her into my arms. She grasped onto the front of my jacket and sobbed into my chest. I caressed her hair as I whispered 'it'll be alright' to her.

(Aquantis' POV)
I sobbed into his chest until I could no longer feel anymore tears fall. I slowly pulled away and wiped my tears from my face. I felt warmth drape around me and looked down and saw his jacket around me. I looked up at him and felt another tear fall. Before I could wipe it he reached his hand up and used his thumb to wipe it. "Scooter.."

"I'll make sure you forget. Whatever it was that happened will be wiped from your memory and replaced with a new and happy one." He said as he caressed my cheek.
