Dip Dyed (Blue and Purple)

Chapter 2

Chapter 2.

“Look Mum!” I called as I ran back into the kitchen.

“Let me see what colours you got sweetie!” Mum said, “What kind is it?”

“Well,” I paused looking at the bottle, “The brand is Dip Dye and I got blue and purple.”

“Cool! So when are you going to dye you hair?” Mum asked.

“Can I do it tonight?” I questioned?

“Yeah sure! Just do it in your bathroom so you don’t get it all over the carpet!”

“Yes mum!” I yelled back as I ran up the stairs. My mum is a huge stickler for ‘a clean house.’

I rushed into the bathroom and pulled the blue dye out of the packet. I shook it and slowly twisted the lid open.

Suddenly a blue mist rose out of the bottle and filled the bathroom.

I turned around to look in the mirror.

“Woah!” I yelled in surprise, “My hair!”

Let me tell you now, it looked amazing. The blue had gone about half way up my hair so I would have room for the purple to blend into it. I couldn’t believe how pretty it looked!

“Mum!” I yelled, “Come see this!”

I heard her turn the sink off and walk up the stairs, “Did it work honey?”

I stepped out of the bathroom to show her.

“WOW!” she gasped, “That looks so good!”

“I know!” I gushed, “I’ll just put the purple in.”

I ran back into the bathroom and opened the purple bottle, once again letting the mist surround me. As I turned around to glance in the mirror, my mouth dropped open.

“Mum! This stuff is amazing!”

Mum came straight into the bathroom and her mouth dropped as well.

“Oh my!” she gasped, “It really is!”

The purple dye had gone halfway up the blue dye and looked perfect as the two colours blended together.

We both walked downstairs but before I could turn into the living room, the doorbell rang.

“Again?” Mum asked Cleary agitated, “What’s wrong with some people?”

I walked to the door as mum kept heading towards the kitchen.

As I swung the door open, I came face-to-face with the boy that had ruined my day.
