*hides behind desk*
Since it's been such a long time, since I've updated, I thought why not let Conner introduce the chapter?
"Hell no, I'm not doing that, find some other bitch."
Okay, fine maybe Landon will-
*Landon raises an eyebrow while threateningly twirling a gun around his finger*
Alicia?
"Listen, Sam, I'd love to, but uh, I promised Landon to help him clean his snake..."
Riiight
*begins talking really fast*
So um, just remember you won't know the ending of the story if you kill me, so hold out on that
*nervous laughter*
Enjoy :)
The ride home was taking a hell lot longer than usual, and when I finally looked up from my folded hands to look outside the window, I realized why. Landon had completely passed my neighborhood, and was driving near downtown. Specifically, the classy downtown area, one of my Father's favorite haunts, and not the deeper downtown, where Conner and I were forbidden to even look at. Of course that never stopped me, Conner on the hand...
Well let's just say it's a good thing he can't read my mind right now.
I look over at Landon, and see he's still fuming, I can basically see the waves of anger pouring off of him, and let out a huge sigh, before turning my gaze to the window. I wait a few seconds before sighing again. I see Landon's jaw twitch ever so slightly, and hide my grin to let out another loud sigh.
Letting out a sigh of his own, Landon's grip on the steering wheel loosens, so that his knuckles are no longer white with tension. Mocking him, I sigh again, waiting for him to blow a gasket.
Much to my pleasant surprise, Landon makes the biggest mistake of his life, he lets out his own little sigh. Challenge accepted. For at least 2 minutes, we are sighing back and forth, when suddenly Landon pulls over to the side lane.
He pauses for a second, takes a deep, dramatic breath, and turns to look me square in the eye. He places his hands on my shoulder, and inhales again, before letting out the loudest, most frustrated sigh I have ever heard. Actually the second loudest, most frustrated sigh, because I let out a sigh to be King of all sighs, actually Queen of all sighs, because everyone knows Queendom over Kingdom any day.
Landon's mouth twitches and suddenly I'm holding my own grin back. We stare at each other for a while, neither one of us willing to give in, when Landon pulls the most unexpected move ever, he winks. Naturally, I wink back, and my very deep inner flirt comes out waving her pompoms, when I blow a kiss towards Landon. Landon, though taken aback, raises his hand to catch the air kiss and places his fist over his heart. I couldn't help it, I was grinning like the Cheshire cat on drugs. Then the realization of my defeat hits me.
Dramatically I tilt my chin to the roof of the car, and shout, "NOO! I HAVE BEEN DEFEATED!"
Landon plays along, and bows his head to me, "It is true, I have defeated you. But the force is strong within you, I can feel it."
"And thus, the student becomes the master." I look at Landon, and see his smile is almost as wide as my own.
He seems to realize what I said, and rolls his eyes at me.
Trying not to laugh, I say, "You know its true, I'm obviously more mature than you."
"Whatever you say, Cia." Landon turns his attention back to driving, and pulls out of the lane. His smile is gone, but at least so is his sour mood.
