I was rushing towards the hospital. I knew, my breath was coming in ragged, but if I'm about to lose him, then I would run a million miles just to see him the last time.

I reached my destination and ran to his room with no hesitation, whatsoever. I barged in his room and when I saw him stable with some doctors and nurses, I let out an exasperated sigh. How did it get to this? Why is this man suffering? What did he ever do to deserve this kind of torture? He is tormented by all these and it breaks my heart every time I see him this way. How did such an awesome and caring guy end up in this position, where he seems to be so helpless and, well, fragile?

I immediately ran towards him and hugged him knowing that this very hug I am giving him could be the last one. I just couldn't bear the thought of losing him.

Then suddenly, all I see is white. As my vision started going back, I noticed that I was on patches of green grass on an evening. I soon realized it was our backyard. This was the place I first saw him. The place where we usually met and talked about different things. But I didn't know that at this very day, my heart would be shattered into a million pieces. I thought that the only way he can hurt me was to leave me. But I guess I was wrong.

I saw his silhouette starting to make its way to me. I saw his usual smile that never failed to make my heart skip a beat. That smile that never failed to lighten up my mood every time. But this smile was slightly different. It has emotions that are being suppressed by the smile. Emotions that never should've been there. That emotion is sadness. I can see it in his beautiful green eyes. Those same eyes that made me feel giddy inside.

"Hey." he said, and I smiled in return. "So what do you want? Pizza or salad?" he asked, even if he knew what my answer was. "You know what I want." I said, and slightly chuckled at the way he's trying to lighten up the mood. "Pizza." he said in an obvious tone. "Yup." I said, popping the p.

We kept talking and laughing at each other's lame jokes, whilst waiting for the pizza delivery guy to arrive. We kept talking and laughing, so the sadness I thought I saw, was shoved at the back of my mind. I guess that was one of the biggest mistake I have ever done in my life, that I will forever regret until the day I die.

Midway through a horrible joke he was telling me, the pizza delivery guy arrived. We were kind of messing with him, but the pizza delivery guy just shook his head. He's probably thinking we're just like all the crazy teens out there. Well, maybe we kind of are.

"Well that was fun. But I think eating pizza is way better than any of the jokes we had so far." I said, as he chuckled. I always felt this way with him. Like I had no problems and everything was going well with my life. Except his life, I guess.

We finished eating and eventually went back to talking and inserting a joke once in a while. We were on the grass as we were looking up on the stars pointing out constellations and their meanings. I pointed out my zodiac sign. "Look it's Capricorn." I said. And then I saw his zodiac sign. "Look there's yours. Cancer." I said and pointed out the constellation. He just smiled at me.

I wasn't used to him being so unenthusiastic, so I immediately knew something was up. "What's wrong?" I asked him. He didn't reply, he just kept staring into the dark abyss. I was so convinced and worried that something was definitely wrong. "You know what, if you're not telling me then let's just do the usual thing. You know, to lighten up the mood." I said, and I immediately saw that usual smirk he gives me whenever I challenge him into something. "Are you sure you're ready to lose again?" He said. "Cocky much? But what's new about that attitude. Once a bad boy, always a bad boy, yeah?" I said, and he chuckled then nodded.

We were heading towards the place where we usually race. We love motorbike racing. For some reason, destiny finally made its move and we became closer because of racing. I guess that's how things started happening.
